Are they going to draft a rookie and wait 2 or 3 seasons then the rest of the team might suck or take a shot on a youngish QB that's been to the Super Bowl and almost won it at the end. I can see us throwing in our 3rd for there first. I don't see any other QB that's attainable that can take either team to the Super Bowl. We probably end up making a move that none of us like. Even if we just get a 2nd you have to add in the money we get back from Kapernicks contract that we can get a free agent. Like say we get a 2nd or a third and we sign Malik Jackson with the money. We would all take that trade in a heartbeat. Especially if you include the 80 million or so left on his contract. A 2nd rounder and Jackson for Kapernick man that sounds good.

A 3/4 OLB does not have to be 250/260 there is no rule that says so. Levon Kirkland played 3/4 ILB at like 270 LBs. Your saying that he cannot beat a tackle to the QB because he's standing 4 feet to the left, your saying that he can't drop back in coverage and cover a TE and your saying he can't tackle a RB. He's got speed and speed kills. You guys that are guaranteeing were guys are or are not going are full of $hit! Every expert projects 60 different players as possible 1st round picks! Do the math 29 of them possible 1st rounders are going in round 2 or round 3 or later. The only requirement for a OLB is to stop the run, Rush the Passer and drop back in coverage. He can do all of them. I guess we would really suck having the fastest OLB in the league!

I think Houston drafts pretty late and they need a QB Houston would have a legit chance if they could find one why would they want to wait 2 or 3 years on a rookie drafted late.

Eli has speed but isn't strong enough to get past big and fast NFL tackles smith doesn't have the stegnth to do that it would be a waste of his talents to not have him as a 3 down ILB IMO.

It don't really matter Balke is not going to draft someone that can walk in and start anyway. He prefers to bring in first round picks and giving them 8 or 9 snaps a game, while we 2-7.

I say again junior GMs and so called experts the patrol the site telling everyone exactly where each player is getting drafted at and which player is better than who. None of us know $hit! Unless there's an actual GM on here. And if you are a real GM you don't know $hit either because you all pick flops every year. Plenty of real GMs thought Leaf was better than manning. They thought they were right just like all of you guys studying 40 times and seeing if a guy has loose hips. Everyone has there favorite players they shove into their mock drafts and we're all going to be wrong. Balke prefers projects to sure things so he can show everyone how smart he is just like you guys!

Also having some one who's not naturally 245-250 could take away from his speed which is what makes him special. He's simply not strong enough to take on big OT in the NFL. He's got great instincts, coverage ability, side line to side line speed, and is a good tackle which are perfect intangibles for a 3 down ILB.
Last I checked Baalke doesn't control snap counts that's our coaching staff...harbs and Vic were known for not letting the young players actually play not Baalke.

Doesn't matter trevathon is to good for Balke to consider bringing to the niners. Who did he bring in last year. The 100th ranked tackle (pears), the 60th ranked guard (Devey) and the 90th ranked CB. I wasn't a fan of bringing Torrey Smith in last year we weren't going to win last year with all our losses and he kept all our young guys from playing. What smith catch like 30 balls last year. By the time we get the other pieces to fit around him he will be too old.
