I really don't post very often but felt like doing an early mock.
First with free agency
1) UFA's let go
Anquan Boldin (Thanks for the great years!)
Alex Boone
Reggie Bush
Garret Celek
Phil Dawson
2) UFA`s retained
Ian Williams
Shaun Draughn
3) Potential Cap cuts
Antoine Bethea
Ahmad Brooks
4) Returning player
Anthony Davis
Targets
1) Marvin Jones WR (Cin)
Baalke has had real trouble drafting WR`s, regardless of the round. The 9ers need another player that can make an impact next season. Jones was used less this season but has good size, good speed, good hands and has been known to make athletic catches. He`s from Caly too, let`s bring him home.
2) Dwayne Allen TE (Ind)
I`ve read many suggesting Coby Fleener in this spot. I think the Colts will try to keep him and if that does not happen, he will get much more attention on the open market. Allen scored 8 times in 2014 and offers more flexibility (in my opinion) than Fleener. He reportedly wants to stay in Indy, but will they want him back?
3) Akiem Hicks DE (NE)
Wilkerson is not leaving the jets. Akiem had a very strong season with New Orleans last year and was supposed to have a breakout year this year. It did not happen and was traded to the Patriots where he has played very well. Strong with good feet, he is active in the both the run and pass game.
4) BJ Raji NT (GB)
Hear me out on this one. I'm all about youth on defense but with the release of Brooks and Bethea in my scenario, the defense (and this team) need some guys that have been around the block. I also feel like they need some help with people that can stuff the run. Raji would not be a full time player, but would be part of a rotation.
In my scenario I did not include Kelechi Osemele (G – Bal) because Baalke never pays big money for guards (not even his own) and Bruce Irving (LB – Sea) because I think he stays in Sea (although if he doesn't I do think Baalke will pursue aggressively).

Draft
For the draft, I assumed that 49ers would have the following selections :
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th, 5th, 6th, 6th, 7th, 7th, 7th
I also assumed no trades.
1st) Myles Jack LB (UCLA)
Call me naïve but I think Kap can have success in Coach Kelly's system. Jack is an athletic freak. Even though he may not be totally refined at the LB position, his athleticism and coverage skills would make an immediate impact next to Navarro.
2nd) Kevin Dodd DE / "Elephant" (Clem)
Another need for the team, as we know, is pass rush help. Dodd is strong, athletic and has good pass rush skills. Hey may end up at the end of the 1st after the combine / pro day, but for now I see him in the second.
3rd) Artie Burns CB (Mia)
Long corner with speed. Prefers to bump and run and can mirror receivers but in not the best tackler and needs work in run support. But our corners could use some help and I think he is good value in the 3rd.
4th) Adolphus Washington DE (Oh St.)
Double threat (run / pass) lineman falls here because of his arrest and the depth of the d-line class this year. The team needs more 3-4 DL's that can threaten against the pass deeper into their rotation (because they are gonna need it with Chip's offense).
4th) Braxton Miller WR / H-Back (Oh St.)
I'm taking a flyer here. I think (hope) that Chip will be able to use Hayne's open field running skills and I think Miller could offer a number possibilities as well (screens, runs out of the back field, flee flickers, wildcat, etc.).
5th) Dak Prescott QB (Miss St)
Vernon Adams will be all the rage after his Shrine Game performance, but I will wait to see how he performs going forward before adding him to a mock.
While being far from a perfect prospect, Dak has a live arm, has shown accuracy and can really move. He would need development but that is what Chip is here for! J
5th) Roberto Aguayo K (Fl. St.)
Best kicker in the draft. Is rated to go in the 3rd round but I am skeptical he will go that high.
6th) Sebastian Tretola OG (Ark)
Big powerful guard with pretty good feet. He may be bigger than Coach will want for his system, but after a year in the program, he should be able to get slimmer while re-enforcing his strength.
6th) Tyler Ervin RB (San Jose State)
Small school RB with speed and good hands out of the backfield. Can also return kicks. I see him as a potential 3rd down back.
7th) Antwaun Woods NT (USC)
Big body for the middle of the defense. Played in a big program but was inconsistent (which is why he is rated as a 7th rounder)
7th) Matt Hegarty C / G (Oregon)
Has experience in the system although he may be a little light in the pants right now to play guard. Definitely a project pick.
7th) Silverberry Mouhon OLB (Cin)
Developmental pick.

Yeah, there will probably be one at some point, but I did not see great value at guard in the list of free agents or early in the draft.
Plus, if Anthony Davis comes back, he can always move inside to guard, leaving the kid at tackle.

Great work and research bro.
Only pick I can't live with in Braxton Miller!!!
I'm just not solid on the flex-multiplayer guys...Only because we need more defined guys with roles! Other than that I love the work and the effort!

Holy DL there no point to signing BJ if you sign Williams IMO.
I like the other FA but we need some OL help especially guards. Love the Jack pick dude is a stud. I just don't see why you went so crazy on DL? We need OLBers.
I also feel like a couple players you have us drafting will not be there when your picking.
Thanks for the mock though!

Washington in the 4th? Even with the off-field douchery, he'd still be a steal in the late 2nd.

If we retain Ian Williams there is no need to pay FA money for Raji.
I like the idea of taking Jack in the 1st.
Good job sir!
