Chad Reuter did a updated 4 round mock:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000629975/article/fourround-mock-draft-cowboys-grab-qb-wentz-at-no-4

1st-Laquon Treadwell - WR, Ole Miss: has been compared to Hopkins and Jeffery. I could live with this think it's a little early to grab him but if he can play to the caliber of the people he's been compared to watch out.
2nd-Vernon Butler, DT, Louisiana Tech : has been compared to Muhammad Wilkerson (keep an eye on this guy his gonna be moving up the boards been watching a lot of tape on him and I'd be pump to get him in the 2nd!)
3rd-Artie Burns, CB, Miami- He has the size you want 6-0 195 and compares to Darius Slay (not sure we go CB that high rather have a ILB)
4th-Vernon Adams, Jr., QB, Oregon- Compares to Russell Wilson-Hate this pick wayyyy to early to draft him.

thoughts on this guy's mock??

7. San Francisco (5-11) – Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss, Jr.

It's possible new head coach Chip Kelly keeps Colin Kaepernick around, so I'm not convinced they go quarterback here. It's also sounding like there is a chance former All-Pro right tackle Anthony Davis returns from an early retirement. That leaves wide receiver as a major need. Treadwell has recovered nicely from last season's gruesome leg injury. His potential at the next level? Think a middle class Dez Bryant or Julio Jones. Plus, Kelly loves big, physical receivers. UCLA's Myles Jack is also in play here. Top needs: RT, WR, QB

7, San Francisco 49ers, Jared Goff, QB, Cal

Goff is a little slighter than Wentz, and everything about him says West Coast QB. At 6'4" 215 pounds, he's a little thin, but there's no reason to believe he can't bulk up for the NFL grind. His Cali roots would make him a popular selection for the San Francisco 49ers at No. 7.

His ability to run a fast-paced offense might make him an ideal candidate to run new head coach Chip Kelly's system.

7. San Francisco 49ers: Noah Spence, OLB/DE, Eastern Kentucky

There is not a Von Miller in this year's draft, but Spence is the closest thing. He's a fluid edge rusher with quickness and the skills to line up at end or linebacker. San Francisco needs to get better at rushing the passer, and Spence is the player who can do it.

San Francisco 49ers – DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon
It's always an interesting day when you have to ask yourself, "What would Chip Kelly do?" The easy answer, of course, it to connect the Oregon dots and have Kelly select the disruptive, versatile Buckner to help shore up the defensive line. Of course the 49ers tapped that last year with Arik Armstead, but Buckner has always been the more dynamic (though streakier) performer. Having an explosive athlete who can play anywhere from the 3 to the 7 technique like Buckner gives Kelly a lot of options, and the quickest way for San Francisco to climb is to get back to being an awesome defense.

Second round pick: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State

The Pick: Quarterback Jared Goff, California

A skinny kid who wins with accuracy, poise and mobility in and out of the pocket? Sounds like the perfect fit for San Francisco, where unconventional quarterbacks Joe Montana, Steve Young and Jeff Garcia led the team to victories. And at pick No. 7 overall, Goff is a steal if he's on the board.

There isn't, at this time, any clarity on what the 49ers will do with Colin Kaepernick, but his camp put out reports this week that he'd like out of San Francisco and sees the New York Jets as a good fit. And with his year-to-year contract that is team-friendly, it's fair to think that Kaepernick could be playing elsewhere in 2016. From a team-building perspective, no matter if Kap is a 49er or not, general manager Trent Baalke must look at drafting a young quarterback of the future this year.

I just dont get why anyone would want a WR with the 7th overall pick. This is a passing league now, yes, but there are soo many wideouts to be had in later rounds and or free agency. Also, Baalke has been awful managing the position. We need a real QB and need the pass rush back. Fix those first.

I can't see Baalke drafting a WR with the first pick. I completely agree that QB and pass rushers are a much higher priority.

While I agree WR shouldn't be the pick in the 1st there really isn't many good FA WRs and this draft class as a whole is pretty weak (compared to the past couple years).

7. San Francisco 49ers – Jared Goff, QB, California

Chip Kelly is now in command of the 49ers, so predicting what they will do in the draft will be almost impossible. Kaepernick didn't appear to be in the team's future, but bringing in Kelly may give Kaepernick one last chance. If not, they desperately need a QB. Goff (who went to Cal and grew up a 49ers fan) has a lot of tools to work with, plays with confidence, and seems to be mentally ready to play at the next level.

Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame
When GM Trent Baalke steps back and analyzes 2015's top offenses, one thing stands out: the significant draft capital invested in offensive line talent. Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and Washington each drafted 3 starters from RD1-3. The correlation makes sense when one recalls the last time the Gold and Red scared opposing defenses, and that was with a line made up of Iupati and Davis (Rds 1, 2014) and Staley (Rd 1, 2007). To get back to that level, several years of investment will be needed, and it begins in 2016 with OT Ronnie Stanley out of Notre Dame. Stanley (6'6, 318 lbs) started 40 games at ND and exhibits the needed elite quickness and technique to match up against today's EDGE rushers. While he needs to add strength, Stanley brings all the elements to be a foundational piece in the 49er's line of the future.

JARED GOFF, QB, Cal
Everyone's locked into the Colin Kaepernick–Chip Kelly match for the moment. But let's expand those horizons. Goff isn't cut from the Kaepernick mode as a "dual-threat" QB, but he's also not a statue—his footwork in the pocket and desire to keep his eyes downfield are both pluses. Marcus Mariota isn't walking through that door, and Kaepernick might be walking out of it. It is Goff's talent as a passer that really would appeal to Kelly.

7. San Francisco 49ers – Laquon Treadwell, WR, Mississippi: The NFL's lowest-scoring offense clearly needs some playmakers – perhaps even a quarterback depending on how (and if) the Chip Kelly/Colin Kaepernick relationship develops. But let's give the Niners Treadwell, a fairly polished receiver who could nicely complement deep threat Torrey Smith.

San Francisco 49ers: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis

San Francisco looks to start its rebuilding process with a quarterback to replace Colin Kaepernick. Clearly, Blaine Gabbert isn't the long-term answer. Lynch would fit Chip Kelly's approach of an athletic quarterback to move the ball down the field with quick passing and has some mobility for Kelly's offense. Kelly believes he doesn't need quarterbacks with perfect accuracy for his offense, so Lynch could be a fit.

To me, Lynch looks like a mix of Blake Bortles and Brock Osweiler as a prospect in terms of athletic skill set. In 2015, Lynch completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,778 yards with 28 touchdowns and three interceptions. His arm can make all the throws for the pro game, and he flashed the ability to pass accurately with precise completions into tight windows. Additionally, Lynch has the athleticism to make plays with his feet and throw on the run.

However, the redshirt junior is a project for the NFL. Lynch has a great skill set, but needs work as a pocket passer with developing his field vision. He can get rattled by the pass rush, which impacts his field vision and accuracy. Lynch isn't a true "top of the draft" quarterback prospect like Andrew Luck, Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota. However, Lynch probably will go in the top 10 of the 2016 NFL Draft out of need and demand.

Pick change; previously Jared Goff, QB
