I can't see us carrying 2 kickers on the roster.
I also think we need another top RB to compliment Hyde. The other 3 are depth.
Don't forget about Smelter at WR. If we draft another I would prefer someone with break away speed.
I think the giants need a pass rusher and a middle linebacker. A lot on D they need. So in order to get Jack, Ogbah, Lawson, they would need to trade up because I'm sure they could all go before 11 (probably besides Ogbah who is pretty raw).
Agreed on the kickers but if he beats out Phil, why not just start him and let go of Phil? Who knows. Most 7th rounders don't make the team but maybe getting another guard in the 7th would be more reasonable.
I disagree. I like Draughn and think Davis showed good flashes the last game too. No need for more RB's.
We need a true slot guy and Braxton is that. I'd like Smelter as the 4th WR because he's tough. Definitely not a slot guy though. But wouldn't be mad if we didn't draft a WR.

Remember. The Giants are in the 10th slot so their 2nd rounder is an early 2nd round pick as would be their 4th rounder. That is an awful lot to give up to move up 3 slots from 10 to 7. Like us they have multiple needs so I think it would be a longshot they would pay that much to move up 3 spaces.
Draughn and Davis are solid but if Hyde goes down again we could really use someone who is dynamic in the backfield.
At Wr we really only have 1 real deep threat and it usually takes a year or two to develope a WR so I wouldn't mind seeing us draft another who could really threaten a defense deep. Wouldn't mind Braxton though if he lasted till the 4th round.

I guess I could see that. But we could probably get their 2nd and not a 4th. But offensively they don't have too many glaring needs and they have a solid secondary. I think they need an edge rusher or defensive lineman OR linebacker so that's where they trade up to get Jack, Lawson, Floyd, etc. Who knows. I also wouldn't mind signing maybe a good backup like Charcandrick West? Good compliment to Hyde.

The Giants had the statistically worst pass defense in the entire NFL. Almost gave up 5,000 yards in the air.

They also ranked nearly dead last (30th) in sacks with 23 total on the year. Tied 10th in INT's. Aaron Lynch would've had 10+ this year if we had a better opposite edge rusher. Point is, the pass rush is important. I would take Rodgers-Cromartie and Amukamara over Brock any day? I think if the Giants want to have a much improved defense, it starts with the front 7. They have 2 starting worthy cornerbacks, a young safety in Collins, and an awfully inconsistent front 7. That is what hurt the cornerbacks this year. They would benefit from a pickup of Jack who could sure as hell be gone before 10th to the Dolphins possibly (Koa Misi isn't the answer) or even us at #7. So, I think statistically, numbers are deceiving because that D line is pretty bad. They were towards the bottom of the league in rushing yards allowed as well.

Agreed. Pass rush makes a secondary look great land lack of a pass rush makes the secondary look horrible.

Yeah. Considering we could get Irvin in FA and eliminate trading back for a guy like Spence, would you take a corner 1st round like Alexander? I would trade Brock, put DJ (best corner on the team) as the #2 and Ward in slot. That's a good cornerback core. Possibly DJ as a #1 and Alexander #2. Young but all the potential to be dominant.

Honestly you don't want to know what I think of Alexander and VHIII. I would take Ramsey at 7 but my big board had Desmond King as the top corner but he is going back to school.

I think Alexander is better than VHIII. He has an attitude to him that most corners don't. He knows he's the best and plays like it. Reminds me of Josh Norman a lot.

All I see when I watch him is a player who celebrates bad throws from a bad QB being pressured by one of if not the best pass rushes in college football. In other words I see Deangelo Hall. He's got great speed but his tackling looks like a high school player scared of contact. He in my opinion is best suited for a Nickle corner.

He's often praised for his good tackling... Also, in his last 24 games he hasn't allowed a TD (per. Matt Miller) and consistently has shown he's the best cornerback in college football. He's a #1 corner to me.
