My (or your) hypothetical picks over the years

It was just for fun since I was curious. Feel free to post yours.

I went through my past rankings, draft boards, comments, thoughts etc. since 2012 to make a fake scenario of my draft picks. Here is how I would have drafted. I tried to stay as honest as possible to my rankings but adjusted based on what I would have thought was the need of the team. I did cheat a bit (skipped over 2-3 players I ranked high that weren't drafted, I'm assuming as a GM someone would have told me WTF ARE U THINKING! And I would have listened!). I didn't track rankings prior to 2012.

I typed this a few months ago in comparing my draft to GM's around the league. Some drafts really solid, some shaky. Here is my draftee roster from what I posted on the board for the last 6 NFL drafts (minus a pick or two in the back end of the 2010 draft that I scribed on a former computer but have lost). All happened when the Niners were on the board. No trades allowed, no cheating allowed.

Absolutely. I was clamouring for him the whole time. Thought he was the best player left on the board at 7.

Too bad I didn't break down his drinking film; might've changed my pick.

BTW: Shane Ray had 3 sacks today.

1st Round - Solomon Thomas. For the record I did grade Marcus Lattimore a bit higher but I'm perfectly fine with the Thomas pick. I think with the depth at CB this year, it was logical to go with Thomas.

2nd round - I would not have made the trade, I would have taken Zach Cunningham

3rd round - I was a big fan of Witherspoon, loved the pick

4th round - This is where it gets interesting. I had McNichols, Dimick, Price, Lawson, Dorian Johnson, KD Cannon (ugh shoot me now). Honestly, I think I would have went with McNichols.

4th round (pick traded) - Lets go ahead and put KD Cannon here and let it blow up in my face

4th round - I didn't scout Joe Williams so I definitely would have taken someone else (this is due to my time, not Williams' talent). Dimick and Price are there, but with picking Solomon I would have taken Dimick off the board and I don't think Price fits our D. Next up is CB Corn Elder, who I would have taken.

5th round - Kittle, no changes with this pick. I made a note that he was ideal for KS and I had him graded as a 4th round talent.

5th round - Alright, time for another pick to blow up on me. I would have taken QB Jerod Evans

6th - DT Jarron Jones

6th - DE Hunter Dimick

7th - RB Corey Clement

If anyone needed proof that the fans could have drafted better than Baalke, look no further. SAD!
