I was surprised that Hogan doesn't have a thread but I feel like he certainly deserves one. Before the season I really wasn't a big fan of his, saw him as a late round pick at best but he really stepped it up his final season and showed a lot of genuine improvement and as a result I think he's a guy that a lot more teams will be looking at closely as a mid round pick. Still not a fan of his delivery but he has good experience in an offense that translates well to the NFL and showed improvement in terms of ball placement and an eagerness to attack downfield. His game against Notre Dame was particularly good. He'd be worthwhile to look at as a guy that can be a quality backup if not a decent game manager type at the NFL level. He'll get passed over because he doesn't have elite arm strength or athleticism as well as that funky delivery but in the right spot he could end up being a pretty good quarterback.
Stanford senior QB Kevin Hogan has "forced NFL scouts to take second and third looks at him," CBS Sports' Dane Brugler observes.
"One could argue that no senior quarterback prospect has helped himself more this season than Hogan, who has forced NFL scouts to take second and third looks at him. Although his elongated delivery and inconsistent passing vision are concerns, he's built for the NFL game with the toughness, heart and intangibles that teams covet at the next level," Brugler wrote. The Stanford prospect has showed flashes, but his arm talent will be questioned by many evaluators at the next level. However, the gutsy senior has started every game since the end of his freshman year, winning a school-record 33 games for Stanford

I really think he has a shot to be a solid pro.

He's got better measurables to Connor Shaw but he went out as a UDFA.
I think Hogan can go mid round but it speaks more to the lack of QB prospects vs. Hogans talent.
He should be a late round pick based on intangibles and production but may go higher due to lack of talent at the position.

One could be a top 10 pick and one might go in round 3. Similar stats with Hogan attempting 123 less passes.

unfortunately, talent evaluation goes way beyond stats alone and you know that.

Kevin Hogan is someone I'd take in the mid rounds. From people I've spoken to, who have played football or coached football have all said he will be a good one, just needs a season or two as a backup and can come in eventually and be a starter.

Never said that was the only way to evaluate a QB.

One of them has a great arm, can make all the throws and has great rushing skills while the other one has not.
