baalke puts a lot of emphasis on the senior bowl, likely too much. quinton patton and jimmie ward were senior bowl week stars.

What's your point? Jimmie Ward is a damn good football player, and Patton has flashed well for a late pick WR on a running team. He makes too many dumb mistakes, but that has nothing to do with talent or skill.

He shouldn't have been put at CB, he is a Safety IMO that's where he plays in the future IMO.

I don't think Ward is a useless player (like AJ Jenkins), but better value could've been had at 30.
Ward brings versatility in the secondary and plays special teams.

It used to go to the teams picking 1 and 2, if they didn't change coaches, now you never know who will get that honor.

If he had a clean record he'd probably be a mid-late 1st round guy. He popped for drugs a couple times at OSU and had PI following that. He's a 3-4 OLB that'll probably tempt a team in the 2nd. He's a steal in the 3rd, IMO.
