Thx, MD. I didn't think they had a shot at any of the top 3 WR's but Parker seems to be falling. Parker, Dawson, Smith and another RB in 4 would be a kick butt draft.

No nearly as high. He's my number 9 WR. Strictly a vertical threat, and 50 receptions in 2014 scare me. Struggled to get more than 2 or 3 catches against tough defenses. He is a homerun hitter when he makes a reception. I have a third round grade on him. I know many disagree with me.

Great job as always.
If both are healthy, Gurley. Better overall game. Can catch the ball and cause problems down the field. But, Gordon is also really good.

I like Flowers as a RT only. I think Peat might be able to play on either side, but doesn't have the athleticism as Humphries. He really got the crap kicked out of him by Orchard. I couldn't imagine how he would fare in the SEC or Big Ten against some of the better edge rushers.

Agree. The draft is deep in the second, third, fourth rounds

It looks like the free agency market has dried up in terms of corners that can start for us on day 1.(I don't feel comfortable with Wright and Cook starting 16 games for our defense) It looks like our starters will be Brock and Johnson unless we draft a starting corner.(Baring a trade) Out of the top 4 corners in your rankings, which could start on day 1 four our team, and what are the chances we could find a starter that could beat out Johnson if we wait until the 3rd round to draft him.

Thanks a lot for this, MD. Very informative.
No Marcus Peters is because of his character? Or technical reason?

What do you think of TJ Clemmings? Athletic tackles are always at a premium and he's pretty smooth. Personally, I think he'll come off the board very early if there's a run on OTs.
BTW, I completely agree with your top 5 players just in a different order. Also, I like that you have Gregory way down. He's too light to be considered in the top 10. He'll get pushed around in the NFL until he can build the frame to become more than just a situational pass rusher.

Could not agree with you more. I am in favor of Jailen strong at pick 15. He is the big red zone target the team needs.
I also love Henry Anderson. I go to Stanford games, and feel he is the real deal. He states he models himself after Cowboy, I will take Cowboy II any day. Perhaps trade down a little in round 2, and pick him up, my fear is he will not be there at our round 3 pick.

MadDog:
I this list you have just made approximately the same as your 49er board? Will you be giving us your view of the 49er board?
Thanks for all of your input.

But, we are still early in the process.
MD you have Shaq Johnson in the 30s. Every thing I hear about him is just how athletic he is and how versatile he is. Could he be drafted in round 2 and molded into a good will or Sam lb?

Thanks Maddog! Always good to read your analysis. I like Strong as well and would love to have him on the team...but I fear he will be gone or a DL will be available that is irresistable! If the draft fell along your lines it would give Baalke a head ache! DLs Brown, Davis and Goldman, with Parker and Strong all around the 15th pick...and then Waynes for good measure! Ouch! Where's my dart board?

Hm, isn't Brown limited to NT in a 34-D due to his measurements?

CBS Prospect list concludes: "Brown has the size, athleticism and production to warrant early round consideration and projects especially well as a penetrator in a 4-3 alignment rather than taking on two-blockers as he was often asked to do at Texas."
He's rated 16th on their list.
