Cornerback
I think I can make an argument for CB with Culliver and Cox leaving. The Niners have waited to draft CB till later rounds and signed value FA (retreads) for years. Baalke traded up for Reid and took a shot on Ward. Does Baalke go DB early, again? If Waynes is there, the experts say he good value. It seems like there is good depth with Johnson, Collins, Peters, PJ Williams, etc. CB is one position that Baalke could trade back and still have a starting quality candidate.
Dline
I know many fans are fine with the NT position, but I feel like it's a duct tape and bailing wire situation. Drafting a stong NT could free up the current NT to slide out to DE, and create more depth. OR Baalke could target a potential DE for the future. If Shelton falls he's a no-brainer, but Goldman and Brown are also interesting.
WR
Even with the Smith signing, it's hard to overlook some of the WR talent this year. Even if the top 3 WR (White, Cooper, Parker) are off the board, Strong and DGB are intriguing. This is a very deep position this year though. The Niners could wait and take a development project later.
ILB
A position of strength got pretty thin. Any additional injury to Bowman could devastate their ILB corp. It seems likely one of the top four ILB falls to the 2nd rOund.
Where do you think the Niners biggest need is in the 1st?
