Sterling Moore - CB - Cowboys
NFL Draft -
49ers trade back for Panthers 1st and 3rd round picks. Panthers still need OL help, and 49ers need...well...a lot of players.
R1: Eric Kendricks - ILB - UCLA (via CAR) | Embodies Patrick Willis in his dedication and playing style. Well coached by Mora. Immediate starter.
R2: Devin Funchess - WR - Michigan | Give him a year under Boldin and our WR coaches. If he doesn't impress, move him to TE to take over for Davis.
R3: Henry Anderson - DT/DE - Stanford | Prototypical 5 technique DE in a 3-4 defense. He can also play some nose tackle if needed. Shores up DL.
R3: Damarious Randall - CB/S - Arizona St (via CAR) | Projects as a tweener similar to Jimmie Ward, but he has the skills to be a physical CB. Ward is moved to S.
R4: Javorius Allen - RB - USC (via DEN) | Insurance policy for Bush and Hunter, Allen fits nicely in the zone scheme.
R4: Ramik Wilson - ILB - Georgia (COMP) | Sideline to sideline speed and a consistent tackler. Needs to gain more strength, but the IQ is there.
R5: Zack Wagenmann - DE/LB - Montana | Beats out Lemonier for the 4th OLB spot on the roster.
R6: Eric Lefeld - OT - Cincinnati | PS candidate for OL depth.
R7: Cole Manhart - C/OG - Nebraska-Kearney (via IND)| PS candidate for OL depth.
R7: Matt Miller - WR - Boise St (COMP) | PUP player that could make the team in 2016 as a reserve.

If we trade down to Carolina, according to the draft calculator it's worth a 1st and 2nd not 1st and 3rd.

Good call. Panthers throw in a 2016 3rd round pick into the trade.

i think so,, how about a qb in round six or 7? even a kicker in round 7? or can that be taken care of with UDFA's?

You don't really care much for offense, I guess. Slow WR (who may not work out as a WR, great), 4th round RB, last three picks. That's it. Criminey!

Kendricks can be had in the second round.

Love the Anderson, Randall, and Allen picks. Especially Randall. On the small side for a safety but a much better tackler/hitter than Ward imo.

How so when we trade tha cowboys there 1st 18th pick we gave them pick 30(i think) and a 3rd around pick to move up 12 picks so no way we get a 1st and 2nd moving bacl 10 picks ...

We don't need a WR in the 2nd round. A slow one at that. After all this destruction and retirement and FA losses people STILL want a WR early? Really? The 49ers have no business even picking a WR in the first 3 rounds at this point. We have more holes than swiss cheese at this point. Our front 7 has been decimated. Our O Line is so much weaker. We need RB help. We have a lot of holes to fill and WR should be very far down the priority list at this point.

Hate the value for trading down we'd be getting robbed! If your looking at getting 2016 picks a 3rd this year and a 2nd next year would make more sense....3rd this year and next is wayyy to low in my opinion. I'd rather stay at 15 if that's the case.
If you want to go WR early I'd rather get Strong or DGB in the 1st they grab McKinney, Dawson, Anthony, or Perryman in the 2nd or 3rd...Taiwan Jones is intriguing later in the draft he has the size (6-3 250) and length (34 inch arms).
And I agree we need RBs, this draft is chalk full of them, and we are one injury away from having Bush/Hunter as our starters....
I hope we sign Moore! He would help SF in the secondary and would free us from having to draft CB early.

Got to draft where the talent is...Hyde wasn't a top need (at that point) last year, but was the past player available according to Baalke.
There are some real solid ILBs in the 2nd-3rd round that would be good for us. Same with DL, Henderson in the 3rd (maybe Mario Edwards) would be great pick ups for SF...did you put a mock together? I liked to see what direction you'd like to go

I don't see Baalke taking an ILB in the 1st rd...Kendricks has some game, but I think Anthony's a better overall pick because of his size, speed and ability to drop back in coverage...just think he's more NFL-ready. Even with him, he's a 2nd rd pick, I believe.
Not a big fan of Funchess...he doesn't use his size nearly as well as he should...and we have enough "tweeners" in Carrier and Millard. And, Funchess isn't tough or big enough to play TE.
No beef w/Anderson...I think he'll be the better pro than Armstead. That said, not sure Anderson will "fix" our DL...probably a rotational player.
Really like the Allen and Wagenmann picks.

Poor Miller ran a 4.7 at Boise's Pro Day. That will surely sink his draft hopes.
