MadDog49er Post-Combine Pre Pro-Day Big 150 Board

Greetings to all! Wrapped up watching all of the Combine coverage this past week, and didn't see much that surprised. This extended breakdown of how I think the draft will fall, not a mock (since there are too many trades), shows some slight movement. Of course, campus workouts will also help those who were not able to perform at the combine. Very much looking forward to seeing how Shane Ray, Eddie Goldman, Michael Bennett, and numerous others fit into the draft mix. Also, very curious to see if the TCU duo of Dawson and Hackett, who I both like a lot of game tape, will be able to post significantly better times Their performance at the combine was disastrous, in nearly every phase. Big movers for post-draft are Beasley and Humphries and B. Jones.

For now, I will go against conventional wisdom and say that Mariota leapfrogs Winston. Really intrigued to see how the newly released movie about sexual assault, featuring the young lady who accused Winston of rape, plays out.

I will continue to release more top graded boards as the draft nears. Watching a lot of taped games this year (probably the most in four years), and seeing a lot of good players who will be overlooked and guys who will be way too overvalued.

As always, would love to hear your perspective.

Seeing Coleman at 46 makes me happy. Seeing Gurley at 32 makes me think he's too damn close to 31, and that makes me want to kick puppies. No Gurley to the Seahawks!

Excellent.

Has a lot of similarities to the Board I´m working on and used for my recent mock.

- 26 Carl Davis Iowa DT
- 46 Tevin Coleman Indiana RB
- 55 Devin Smith Ohio St WR
- 70 Ifo Ekpre-Olomu Oregon CB

- 137 Ali Marpet Hobard C (I think we have to use our 4th or even trade up a few spots in the 4th to get him)
It's really odd, Dawson looked like he just pulled up at the end of his 40 run...did not appear injured just looked like he slowed down. Really weird

I would poop my pants and yours wih excitement if it went down like this. I'd be concerned that we couldn't get Colema or Smith that late.

How does Ifo do against taller WR? I don't want to watch a replay of Marshall over Ward all day long.

I've seen Marpet projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd now. Interesting stuff. I have my little disagreements here or there, but we've still got two months to go, so we'll see about those.

Hobart.
Noticed you have Darren Waller going in the late 4th range. He's a guy I've been keeping an eye on, although I'm not sure he'll go that high. In my evaluation of Waller, ironically, on a team that runs so heavily, his run blocking borders on terrible. Just very poor. On the other hand, he looks like a very natural pass catcher and his long strides eat up the cushion VERY quickly. For a big man, he's also more agile than you'd think.

Maybe the lack of red zone threats in this draft inflates his value -- there really are only a few other draft worthy 6'4"+ WRs -- but the absolute highest I'd take Waller would be the 5th. Jordan Taylor of Rice at about 6-5 210 is simply a much better football player.
Thanks MD, greatly appreciate your continued effort.

Looks you downgraded Tyler Lockett. I remember you put Lockett in the top 5 WR range somewhere.

I really like this small sized receiver but considering his size 64th overall is still a bit too high for him IMO.
