Guess we will see at the combine
Even if he runs well at the combine, I'm not sure I'd buy it. I don't see a ton of game speed with him. I'd much prefer Waynes or PJ Williams over him.
I agree and I have not seen too much of him, that is why I want to see more at the combine. Most of these other first rounders we have a good idea of what they are.

LSU CB Jalen Collins made his debut at No. 32 on NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah's board.
"He is tall, long and explosive," Jeremiah wrote. "In press coverage, he is spotty with his hand use. He flashes an effective one-hand jam, but he will also carry his hands low and allow a free, inside release. He gets caught with his weight on his heels too often. He is fluid underneath to mirror and he has enough speed to carry vertical routes. He does waste a few steps at the top of routes before working back downhill with his man. In off coverage he plays with a side shuffle that allows him to see through the wideout to the QB. He has an impressive burst to close on balls in front. Overall, Collins has some rough areas to smooth out but he should be a reliable starter very early in his career." Collins is as raw as a hunk of freshly purchased grass fed beef. He started only 10 games at LSU across his entire career, but the physical tools are tantalizing. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Collins reportedly runs a 4.4 forty. Feb 18 - 10:02 PM

Looking out of position for the Niners, picking too early for the first and too late in the second. We goin DL or WR first round anyway.

Collins wont make it in the 1st round, well, unless the Patriots have no plan on resigning Revis Island..

Had himself some nice numbers put up during the combine. Think he made himself some money here this week

I wouldn't be surprised if Baalke goes CB in RD1 - would either be Peters or Collins, more Baalke type players than Waynes.

How so? Waynes is a 6-1 press man corner, sounds like a Baalke type corner to me. I think the only question is if he will last to 15 at this point.

Nevermind I had a dumb moment. We play an off man hybrid coverage.

Peters is more pro-ready at this point, IMO. I like the way he competes and he does play a little mind games as well. Collins probably has the higher ceiling but is definitely raw right now.

They used to. Who knows what Mangini will have them doing going forward. I think people are expecting things to remain completely the same because they went in-house with the DC and OC but there's the very real possibility of some substantial changes in a few areas, we really won't know for awhile.

I really think the pick will be the OT from LSU or a DB. The top 3 WRS will be gone by 15. DB isn't worth a 15th pick. Take Sammie Coates or Jalen Strong in the 1st rd.
Jalen Collins or the OT. Maybe Waynes from Mich State

My bad.. I meant to say take Coates or Jaelen Strong in the 2nd round., not 1st round. I don't think Coates or Strong are 1st round potential.
We shall see! I agree.. Coates has stone hands but can get down the field!
