I'm not saying we should play it safe, just bringing up a topic of conversation.

Something on defense, or something that we already have.

Probably OL WR would probably be the least safe

the safest and best pick would be ol or dl. I think we'll see wr though.

Trading down. Not a great draft in terms of special players to be honest and I'm not sure there is someone that has to be drafted that can't be had a bit further down

I think the smartest pick is DL...Ray Mac's gone, Justin Smith could be. That's a ton of experience lost...neither Carradine nor Jerrod-Edie are proven as starters. So, my pick would be DE/DT Eddie Goldman, FSU, 6-3, 315. He's got the total game. Even if Justin comes back for another season, now's the time to draft his replacement.

Yup this is the right answer... Goldman would be a perfect fit in this defense and is the best 3-4 lineman in the draft. But I really hope we get a true #1 WR somehow. Maybe if we hire gase D. Thomas might come with?

He has a very low floor as far as CB goes but by nature CB is a volatile position. That being said no pick is safe and anything can happen. That's why trading up and losing pick tends to be less effective then trading back and taking as many players as you can.
