How the f**k do you get an "A" picking up a fullback who won't even get drafted in the seven rounds let alone it's not a position of need for the 49ers :P. I'm assuming you drafted for the 49ers.

Yeah the grading system is f**ked in this game. I've gotten like 4 1st rounders via trading back and it's given me only like 7,000 in the end :/
Just completed a super realistic one.
Went a little wr heavy

Got a 6022 for this draft (B+)

I made picks with some changes in mind. I'll explain below. I traded down twice...once with Arizona at 24 and again with Indianapolis at 29 and picked up 2 extra 2nd rounders. My reason for each pick is italicized.

Round 1 Pick 29 (IND): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma (A-) The more I watch tape of him the more he looks like the most physically dominant WR in this draft. Off field issues not withstanding, at 29, he is the perfect fit for 2015 and beyond at WR for the 49ers.

Round 2 Pick 14: Carl Davis, DT/DE, Iowa (B+) Probably the best 3-4 DE prospect in the draft. If he is around this long, you take him and smile all the way to the podium.

Round 2 Pick 23 (ARI): T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh (A) Another intriguing, yet highly skilled player. Clemmings is exactly the style of football player and lineman this team needs. A long-armed road grater who will probably be infinitely better in pass protection playing inside at RG. His experience at T gets him higher on the depth chart. Perfect replacement for Boone.

Round 2 Pick 29 (IND): Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State (A-)
Runs like Gore, maybe faster than Hyde. With Hunter's uncertainty and Bush a one year stop gap...you go get the 2nd most underrated back in the draft (Abdullah).

Round 3 Pick 15: Garret Greyson, QB, Colorado State (B-) This pick is a clear need + talent + ebb and flow of draft day = perfect fit/some team got a steal. He doesn't have outstanding measurables, but they are impressive nonetheless and he makes every throw necessary. Mid round steal for your insurance policy at the position.

Round 4 Pick 27: Jordan Hicks, OLB, Texas (B+)
The first of 2 picks with position movement at focus. In my opinion, Hicks would be a much better inside backer in a 3-4 than outside in a Tampa 2 style defense. He would not need to start right away and could contribute on special teams until he is ready for FT action. He has better size than Perryman and is a sure tackler in open or closed quarters.

Round 4 Pick 33 (COMP): Terrance Magee, RB, LSU (C)
I think Baalke restocks the RB cupboard with this pick and what a better fit than someone who plays exactly like the guy you just lost and has shown adept hands in the pass game.

Round 5 Pick 15: Taiwan Jones, ILB, Michigan State (B-)
The second of my 2 movement picks. This time it will be Jones going from inside to outside backer, where I think his attitude and toughness would be better served attacking the quarterback than diagnosing plays. He is already a willing run defender and his aggressiveness will allow him to develop as a pass rusher. Very similar to the path Ahmad Brooks took from Cincinnati to the Niners. Good person to learn him. Also an immediate ST contributor.

Round 6 Pick 14: Jordan Richards, SS, Stanford (B-)
I think Richards has a lot of Donte Whitner in him but will really need to commit to working on his coverage in space. Sure tackler and tough in the box, also a ST contributor and can allow the team to part ways with Dahl.

Round 7 Pick 29: Damian Swann, CB, Georgia (A-)
Tough, physical man cover corner who does not get enough love because he isnt a superior athlete. He wont wow you in any way outside of his effort...but he is very good at many things and there is always a spot on the roster for that type of defensive back.

Round 7 Pick 37 (COMP): Gerald Christian, TE, Louisville (B+)
Swiss Army Knife player who played everywhere Strong or Petrino asked him to play. Decent hands and willing blocker. Could make the team if the holdover backups do not perform well.

What do you guys think?

It's interesting - the scoreboard doesn't seem to favor excessive trading down even though teams always throw picks at you in these drafts. If you get an A on every pick, you're going to get a really high score and there are plenty of examples in this thread of which players will give you an A grade in certain rounds.

Yeah it's pretty easy to copy other zoner's picks -- though pick i had trouble with was pick #6 with Ladarius Gunter. Finally got it right. The other corners were giving out C's and D's.
Times have changed -- even with three ace picks of need with my first three and A's the rest of the way can't even break 8000:
