Agreed. Niners need to draft a QB IMO.
Taylor Heinicke. Dude is a stud from Old Dominion.

My picks and where I would select each QB:

*Sean Mannion ----- Late 4th - 6th rounds
*Garrett Grayson ------- Late 3rd - 4th rounds
*Bryce Petty --------- Late 4th - 6th round
Kevin Rodgers ------- Undrafted rookie free agent
Taylor Kelly -------- 7th round - Undrafted rookie free agent
Connor Halliday -------- 6th - 7th rounds
*Andrew Hendrix ------ 6th - 7th rounds

Likely gone before our 2nd round pick .
A definite need, but a horrible draft class to fill the need. This is where Baalke and scouts will really have to earn their money.

With all the other needs, the Niners probably wait till the middle rounds and take someone like Sean Mannion or maybe a Bryan Bennett in the 7th round. Maybe an UDFA like Trevor Simien from Northwestern would be a possibility, too.

That said, I like Mannion. Bryce petty is an interesting prospect, but Mannion seems more accurate (although he doesn't have Petty's arm strength or super-quick release).

Agreed 100%. This will be a make-or-break year for Kap. If he indeed has hit his ceiling then we will need a starting QB who is ready to go latest start of the 2016 season.

With that said, my choice is Bryce Petty, phenomenal arm, great with the deep ball!!

Bryce Petty late 4th - 6th? Are you serious? Forget about it, the dude will be long gone before that.

Not sure if you see my note of where I would select each QB, NOT where I think they will be. And if Petty is not there no biggie, that's why I listed more than one QB.

Probably. And if we don't trade up to get him in the 2nd, the question is do we consider Grayson and Manion or only wait till the 2016 draft to act? Personally, I would feel far more comfortable with Petty taking over from Kap as I can honestly see the 9ers coming to the crossroad with Kap at the end of this season.

Ah, the difference is I see it as more of a biggie than you. I believe we should be looking for a QB with starting qualities. I think it would only be wise for us to have a QB ready to take over from Kap. It is quite possible this could be Kap's last year with the 9ers.

More of a biggie than filling holes at WR, NT, OL or CB??

I don't think it's a matter of what's a bigger need; at this point you just gotta go with the best player every round. A QB with some potential like Petty in the 3rd or 4th round would be a good pick IMO. But if they can get a guy like PJ Williams in the 3rd or maybe the DE from Stanford, that'd be good too.
Baalke please select the next Tom Brady

This is the way I see it, in the 1st and 2nd rounds you go BPA. Then in the mid to later rounds you start either feeling in your needs with the BPA at that position. And notice I said in my previous post I would take Petty in the late 4th??
