The red shirt sophomore from Syracuse is entering the NFL draft due to personal hardships. A total Boom/Bust prospect with the physical tools to become a pro bowl safety. Standing at 6'4" 205 lbs and is expected to run a 4.4 40 yard dash (let's be real it's going to be 4.6 to 4.7)
Positives : good tackler, great playing downhill in run support, takes good angles, playmaker, shows good discipline in the run game
Negatives : Pass defense not at NFL level, keeps his eyes in the backfield to long, looses discipline tackling sometimes, has issues getting off blocks (including receivers)
Pro Comparisons : Boom = Kam Chancellor Bust = Taylor Mays
Projected Rounds : Rounds 3-4

2nd or 3rd rounder, looks to be more of an in-the-box type safety in the NFL, a little bit stiff but better than most safeties with his height. He's probably more along the lines of 6'2" and a half though.

Oh agreed schools like to add a couple inches. I would prefer a safety tandem on eskridge and Reid than Ward and Reid. Something about a safety who could match the size of the new age Tight Ends and can stand up a running back would be worth a 3rd rounder.
