Yup! Pencil this guy in as our 2nd or 3rd rounder. I like the Boldin comparisons and really like that fact that he is faster than Boldin. I hope he can regain his speed post-injury.Then again, it's moot point who we draft if Harbaugh and Roman are still the HC and OC next year...

According to former teammate Darren Waller his recovery is right on track. Plans to attend NFL Combine 2015 for team interviews and physicals.
Won´t participate in drills.

Poster comments. Reminds me of Crabtree. He's like Boldin. Cripes! We already have those guys. Youth? Niners have Q. Patton. Production and elite speed, please.

He is faster than both.
Smelter is someone you pick in the 4th - 6th round range (2nd round talent) and stash on IR for a year.

I'm hoping we get him and Kevin White. Our receivers would be extremely dangerous.

I say 6th. That's comfortably in the likely to be cut range. I wanted us to take two receivers this year, but if we got a deep threat guy like Dorsett, I'd be content with that and could wait a year for Smelter. We already have Patton and Ellington who are probably chomping at the bit for PT.
