Agree. It would be interesting to see how Alex would of done if he sat behind Favre for 3 years and Rodgers if he was forced to play early and had 6 different OCs in 6 years.

Yep, that was the infamous Brady draft. Not sure what he has to be mad about, even the Patriots passed him up twice in the 6th round.
I remember thinking that the 49ers killed it in that draft. Julian Peterson, Ahmad Plummer, John Engelberger and Jason Webster...bewm.
The 49ers final picks in that draft were Paul Smith(who I was super psyched about), John Milem and Tim Rattay.
Chad Pennington was the hot QB name being brought up by 49ers fans that year. A lot of 49ers fans wanted Tee Martin out of Tennessee or Marc Bulger out of Pittsburgh as well. 49ers drafted Tim Rattay about 12 picks after the Patriots drafted Brady.....oh what could have been.

JJ Stokes went in the 1995 draft. Ray Lewis went in the 1996 draft.

And the future first round pick that the 49ers used to move up for and draft JJ Stokes turned into Ray Lewis.
That was a bad draft to not have a 1st round pick in.
Jonathan Ogden, Simeon Rice, Keyshawn Johnson, Eddie George, Marvin Harrison, Pete Kendall and Ray Lewis all went in the first round.
In the 2nd round you had guys like Mike Alstott and Lawyer Milloy.
The 49ers drafted a DE named Israel Ifeanyi, later in that round, the Iggles drafted a guy named Brian Dawkins. doh.
Other notables were Donnie Abraham in the 3rd round by Tampa Bay, Tedy Bruschi in the 3rd by New England and the 49ers got some major redemption from the Stokes pick by drafting a kid out of Tennessee-Chattanooga named Terrell Owens.
In the 5th round, Miami drafted an smallish LB out of Texas Tech named Zach Thomas.
The Patriots also ended up signing an undrafted kicker from South Dakota State, one of the assistant coaches on the staff, a guy named Trent Baalke was singing the kickers praises to any scout that would listen. That kicker was Adam Vinatieri. Baalke had also previously vouched for an impressive SDSU offensive lineman named Adam Timmerman who had gone to the Packers in the 7th round of the 1995 draft.

Something simple...taking kentwan balmer when we could've taken a kid from cal named desean Jackson who would've helped Alex tho he would've missed him on ever deep ball lol
and helped out kick returns that other then tedd ginn as a returner for 3 yrs sucked..

Well it shouldn't have. What's wrong with playing the "what if" game once in a while? It can be fun, and if you don't find it that, well, then don't play. Better that than call for a "lock". Geez!

If my memory serves me, I believe that the 49ers would have selected Curtis Martin in either the first or second round if they had not used all their early picks to trade up for Stokes. Martin went in the third round to New England and after the draft I recall that they said that they were very interested in him. What could have been. Martin in 1995, Ray Lewis in 1996. Also, interesting to note that the 49ers could have drafted Warren Sapp instead of Stokes who went two picks after JJ.

The guy who I had a major draft crush on was Larry Allan.
I was totally bummed when the damn Cowboys got him.
