I think is worth giving him a chance to compete in camp as a red zone target.

QB wise, I actually like Connor Shaw, yes he might be only 6', but he has a huge arm and is accurate.

I don't see what Coleman brings to the table that is any different from Baldwin.

The difference is we have already tried out Jon Baldwin and Coleman is 2" taller at 6'6".

Yeah I like Lyerla too... off-field issues aside.. he's only a JR... had roughly 400yds 7TD's as a soph...

He just had a terrible 40... but he is another potential sleeper star who runs a slow 40 and surprises...

5.09 sec 40yd pro-day...

But career 355 tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, 12 pass deflections, 5 forced fumbles, in a pretty good Pac 12 conference..

I'll take the production anyday..

Andre Hal just taken by Texans... too bad for the 49ers dart throwing probably never had Hal as a target...

Mitchell is still available...

Purifoy is too...

Wow.. couple hopefully on their dart board....
Dart throwing?

Well dart throwing is not the best analogy... I'm guessing by the 6th or 7th they have a bunch of corners that are rated relatively the same and they essentially are just picking the highest ranked ones.. but essentially out of their pool.. it's dart throwing because the odds are so low in general... if they really liked someone they would trade up... by the 6th round.. who knows..most teams are throwing darts.. only a few teams probably know exactly who they want. Otherwise you wouldn't be picking so many DB's..
No Love for Shayne Skov???

Yeah this reminds of Desmond Bishop... he ran a 4.8 40yd... was really productive... backed up Clay Matthews and Nick Barnett for years...and came into start after Barnett got injured to help Green Bay win a Super Bowl.. some good talent are back ups... just like Borland will back up Willis/Bowman, but if he actually played could be a solid starter or star on another team...
wow, look at dixon and loston still being on the board.

Roberson still there. Coleman too

What is up with Jackson Jeffcoat? I had him rated as a first round talent. I think teams think he's a tweener, but the guy was Big 12 POY. Wow. Not invited to Senior Bowl. Does great in combine. If he doesn't have off-field issues I think the's going to be a star and a steal.

Wow... look at these career stats for Jeffcoat:
174 tackles, 49.5 tackles for loss, 26 sacks, 9 pass deflections, 4 forced fumbles
2013 Ted Hendricks award winner, 2013 Big 12 Defensive Player of Year.. (*correct my POY to DPOY above)
Walter's Camp first Team All-America
Son of Jim Jeffcoat, former NFL player with Cowboys

There must be something up.. injury concern or big off-field flags, cuz if he's just being rated a tweener, he'll be a huge steal... first round talent... but a lot of good teams are passing him up...

Oh and he ran a 4.6 40yd dash which is the kicker....
Jeffcoat's there? Take him! Then grab Purifoy or Roberson, and sign the other as an UDFA. Then sign Lyerla and a QB and we got a perfect competition in Training Camp
