Mark Cuban wins the internets.
"I think the NFL is 10 years away from an implosion. When pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. And they're getting hoggy. When you try to take it too far, people turn the other way. I'm just telling you, when you got a good thing and you get greedy, it always, always, always, always, always turns against you."
According to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who cited three unnamed league sources, the NFL is giving thought to holding the draft 1-2 weeks "later" next year. The idea, McGinn said, is receiving "serious consideration."
In this potential scenario, the draft could begin on either the second or third full week of May, the latter of which could put the draft's end date on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in 2015.

Stupid idea. If they take a vote of Owners and GMs it shouldn't happen.

You would think Owners and GMs would ban together at some point to stop some of Goodells madness....

I will riot of this happens. It's excruciating waiting for Thursday as it is. Another 2 weeks would be inhumane.

And cut off his balls with pruning shears. If he's seriously considering this the guy has officially lost his f***ing mind.

I'm sure he does very little without the consent of the owners. Did you look at the date they are aiming for? Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Maybe "serious consideration" from Goodell but every report this year is that the majority if not basically all of the front offices where pissed about the date this year. If your front office pissed I would think that by nature the owner would be opposed to the dates as well.
It won't happen.

Rightly so, next years draft is going to be the deepest draft ever, in any sport.

The only reason I can think of - as to why Goodell wants to do this is that this year's draft coverage is a ratings bonanza. Personally, I'm ok with it, I don't watch college ball and rely on the zoners to tell me which way is up. I fell sorry for the folks who do though. I can see how extending it by more weeks will be torture to those guys.

Somebody needs to take out Goodell. That guy is such a douche bag. Going to give the rookies even less time to get acclimated you dumb ass. Not good for the quality of the game.

They want to extend it to Labor Day? They got to be out of their minds.
