1. 1986- Charley Hayley, John Taylor, Tom Rathman, Kevin f*gan, Don Griffin, Steve Wallace, Larry Roberts, Tim McKyer
^ That is in the "real world" and IMO is way better than 2011- This draft is A+ material

2. 1981- Ronnie Lott, Carlton Williams, Eric Wright, Lynn Thomas,
^ That is also in the "real world" and competes with 2011

Honestly I would probably put 2007 in front of 2011

It is hard for me to grade the 2011 draft. Aldon may not be on the team next year. CK had a sophmore slump. Culliver had a promising year, but hasn't proved that he is starter material - plus he can't make the team if he is in a jail cell. Worst case scenario, this draft isn't even an A. On the other hand, best case scenario, all 3 get things turned around and this is an A+ draft.

A small point ... back then there were 28 teams ... 4 less teams grabbing from the same pool.

I agree. Compared to those drafts, *which WON superbowls* that 2011 draft hasn't won superbowls yet, I'll have to say B+ when compared to the '86 and '81 drafts. But getting two franchise players like Colin and Aldon, nobody had it better than us in the 2011 draft.
