Easter Mock - The Resurrection Draft we need after a tumulutous offseason

1. Pick 30 - BRADLEY ROBY - CB - OHIO STATE - If this guy is there at 30, there should be no hesitation. The CB we desperately need. Should be third behind Brock and Culliver.




2. Pick 56 - DEMARCUS LAWRENCE - DE - BOISE - Now Imagine this guy get in the rotation with Tank, Lemoneir, Aldon and the Cowboy. Insurance for Aldon. Can never have enough pass rushers.




3. PICK 61 -DEVANTE ADAMS - WR - FRESNO STATE - One of the more stout receivers in the draft. Perfect relief for a potential Crabtree exit.





Pick 77 - PIERRE DESIR - CB - LINDENWOOD COLLEGE - One of the lengthier CB's with long arms. We all know Baalke loves his long arms.



Pick 94 - MARTAVIS BRYANT - WR - CLEMSON - The deepthreat we've been longing for so long.




Pick 100 - TRAVIS SWANSON - C - ARKANSAS - just a mauler. Video speaks for itself.




Pick 129 - BRANDON THOMAS - G - CLEMSON - Acl injury makes him drop this far. Possible replacement for Iupati if the price tag is too high.



Pick 170 - ED REYNOLDS - S - STANFORD - we could use another whiteboy on the defense (I watched Remember the Titans last night)




Pick 242 - STORM JOHNSON - RB - UCF - an every-down runner. Insurance for Lattimore.




Pick 243 - JALEN SAUNDERS - WR - OKLAHOMA - Return Man and slot WR




Pick 245 - LOGAN THOMAS - QB - VIRGINIA TECH - 3rd QB

I like all the players you picked. There's a few people who really dislike Roby on the zone, but I think he would fit in well with our off man scheme where he seems to excel. I haven't heard much about Demarcus Lawrence but I wouldn't mind having an extra linebacker in case we lose Aldon. It would give us solid rotation at pass rush. Davante Adams is a guy who is raw but has incredible upside and good size too. Desir and Bryant are in the same category. Swanson is good insurance if Kilgore goes down. Reynolds and Johnson are good depth players. Saunders and Thomas will be good camp fodder if nothing else.

I don't dislike Roby, but I have concerns about his character issues especially with Cully being in the same secondary. I really like this draft though.

Good mock till the 7th round. Barring injuries in preseason they will have a tough time making the team.

Yeah I mean, the character issue is tough. A lot of the times players that come into the league and develop character issues, didn't have a history of such incidents in college, and vice-versa. Sometimes players who have a history of such qualities come into the league and you never hear anything bad about them. It all falls on the person and their maturity. How they adapt to money and the NFL.

Thanks. I'm with you on the 7th rounders. I expect them to parlay them into picks for next year, even if its for 5th or 6th rounders. You can then parlay those for fourths in the 2016 draft or to move up in 2015.

Good picks overall, but too many. Some will get cut or equally talented guys on the roster will get cut.

No to Adams. If we can't get a starter-caliber WR than get a specialist, like a great slot guy. The Niners have about 50 WRs like Adams.

I like M. Bryant. I hope the Niners select him. He may end up being their first WR pick.

I have always wondered if a team could take a 7th round pick and trade up 1 round every year until it became a 1st rd pick. You can't always find a buyer for your pick. If we can I would trade our 7ths for 6th rounders next year. Otherwise I would probably draft pup list guys we can red shirt for a year. I also wouldn't be adverse to trading a 3rd rounder for a future 2nd rounder or our 4th rounder for a future 3rd or even one of our 2nd rounders for a future 1st rounder. When you pick at the back end every year moving up a round by waiting a year to select is one of the ways you can get extra draft value.
