I've watched some film on him and I like his hands and how he competes to go get the ball at its peak. However, if you watch his game film he rarely breaks tackles and gets yards after the catch. He doesn't go down easily. He is big and strong. But he isn't elusive and quick. We have receivers like him on the roster now (Boldin, Patton, S Johnson) but need that person to stretch the field, be that big play threat every time he touches the ball. I'd love to see McBride signed as a UDFA but don't think he is worth a draft pick. Certainly not 4th round or earlier. You are correct though in saying his stock could go up after the senior bowl. I will certainly be watching to see how he does against the better competition.

Nice catches

Is there any more? He doesn't quite explode off the line like Cooper or Parker or White, but he does seem to have a lovely pair of hands
It would be great if he went as an UDFA. We do need a returner. If nothing else, if he could do that, he makes the team.

So is McBride closer to the next John Brown or the next Kyle Williams? Heard main concern is he just track speed fast or also Game Day fast enough to separate from defenders?

McBride to me looks like a 4th rounder. Nice prospect with pretty good footwork for a small schooler. Had a great week.

Worth a look as a 4th-5th rounder. In his case, the adjustment period I think is the main question. As far as his development, he's surprisingly pretty polished for a small school player. Adjusting to the pro level may be a tall order initially, but I could see him carving himself out some playing time like the Raiders' Andre Holmes did. Holmes was a small schooler out of Hillsdale. I will say though, I think McBride has the skill to elevate himself sooner, on the right team.
