Do any of the Safeties coming out look to be as talented and NFL ready as did Eric Reid and Kenny Vaccaro coming in to the league???

Calvin Pryor is a electric playmaking safety, undersized but gives 100% which i love! If we didn't sign Bethea I'd want to trade up for him!
Ward and Deone Buchannon are really solid prospects who could help us down the line, but not 1st round talent, if one fell to the top of the 3rd... then I'd TRY to trade up, TRY is the word, not MUST!

Agree with Irishluder about Pryor and Buchannon. I'd take Pyror in a heart beat if he falls to the 30th, but I wouldn't mind to have Deone Buchannon in the 2nd round. That guy is like 6'1" 211lb version of Donte Whitner with a better passing coverage skill, and is completely opposite of Antoine Bethea. I am still not sold on Ward due to his small frame. The other guy that caught my eyes is Craig Loston. IMO, he is the mastermind for having Manziel's worst performance games. I could see Loston would be nice against Russell Wilson.

My top 5 Safetys this year look like this.
1. Calvin Pryor
2. Ha-Ha Clinton Dix
3. Jimmie Ward
4. Terrence Brooks
5. Deone Bucannon
But I would rate both Vacarro and Reid ahead of Pryor.

Pryor is listed as 5'11" and 6'2". Which is it? Weight appears to be around 208.

Are there any safeties in the 3rd-5th round that can be drafted as a potential successor for Bethea? My hope is that this player is drafted and within 2 years takes over for Bethea. I wouldn't want to draft a safety in the first 2 rounds and have him sit behind Bethea for 2 seasons.

My favorite Safety for us is Terrence Brooks at the end of the 2nd - start of the 3th. After that my sleeper is Shamiel Gary in the 6th or 7th round.

Here is a table showing how the safeties did in the combine events.
Table is divided into strong safeties and free safeties.
Yellow indicates a target met.
Ranked by targets met/events attempted.
Each person has to determine for himself what value to give the combine events.

well what I value most in a safety is one who excels in coverage and doesn't have a problem like missing tackles. IMO hardhitting safeties are overrated. So my safety draft crushes are jimmie ward and deone bucannon. I think they would fit our system perfectly
