Phoenix 49ers 2014 Mock Draft V6.0(UPDATED POST-CULLIVER POTATO JAILHOUSE VERSION)

When I first looked at your mock, I thought the kid from Indiana was the CB Colvin from Oklahoma. I was thinking you only drafted one WR but I do agree with your statement. In all mocks I've done, I've taken 2 WR's and 2 CB's each time, and always drafted Verrett and Moncrief in that order. Since the offseason began, I've held true to the belief the Niners should draft 2 WR's and 2 CB's, with 1 of each that can contribute right away. I have a lot of confidence in Verrett and Moncrief and truly believe both these kids can have an impact on this team. I like Moncrief for the sure fact that he has the ability to stretch the field. I'll also like to know if you would take a flyer on a Specialist such as Dri Archer?

I thought about Archer, but decided that I'd rather have Barrow and Latimer instead. Barrow because I think depth at ILB is a must if either Wilhoite or Willis get hurt, Latimer because I think they really need to focus on developing WR's. If I felt like they were going to move James and soon, then I think Archer would be a more likely selection, if not him then possibly John Brown later on in the draft.

The LMJ thing is baffling to me. One part of me thought they would shop him before the draft to get something but I don't think that's going to happen at all. Now I'm wondering if they will shop him after the draft to a team that may have missed out on a kid like Archer for a 2015 pick. I just don't know who on this roster other than LMJ and Cox will be the primary returners.

I still like the addition of Fuller to your recent mock. If not Verrett at 30, definitely Fuller.
Whoa Phoenix we actually had a pretty similar draft going on here...
No Verrett though?
Also, like your Barrow pick, that kid is going to be a beast given 2 years to learn behind Bowman/Willis

I will say, I have been looking a lot more at Verrett....
Do want.
Its a shame people have him going so high, I was kind of hoping that in some blind ignorance by other NFL coaches they would use his injury as an excuse to pass on him so he can fall to us. Probably won't happen though
Awesome Phoenix. But you missed the 3rd round comp pick, or did you trade one of the 3rds?

He was a Top 20 guy before the season started, he's fallen off a bit due to the injury, I still think you're highly underestimating him.

Watch this game and see Verrett bodying up against a guy who outweighs him by 25-30 pounds, a guy who averaged 103 yards a game but had 1 catch for 12 yards in this whole game. This same receiver went for 118 yards going up against Justin Gilbert and Oklahoma State.

Thanks. No, the picks are all there, I had Watkins, Barrow and Latimer in the 3rd round.
LOL, great edit. I was also on board with Verrett until today. It was the one glaring hole to fix. But now we have 2 glaring holes. Since one of those glaring holes is a starter on the outside, we gotta go with Fuller first. Man I wish we had another late 1st.

Who can we get to man the slot in the later rounds? Bring out the sleepers

I added Watkins in the 3rd round as a potential slot corner. Not as agile as Verrett but still highly athletic and versatile, able to play CB or safety.

No worries, I went back and separated them out a little bit to make it easier to see, not so jumbled anymore. When there's like 50 draft picks, it gets tough to keep up with each one.

lol bro within the first 2 mins he looks very subpar. got beat twice two bad throws. gave up a td..bad highlights, for the most part a subpar performance.

Wait....what clip were you watching?

Clearly not the same one as me. In the touchdown pass to Fuller, Verrett was defending Goodley on the outside and came up to help the slot defender at the end. Fuller was not his responsibility.

But seriously, what were you watching???

Verrett gave up one catch to Goodley who had been averaging over 100 yards a game for the season, not sure exactly what you were watching.
