MBA's Mock draft ver 4.0 Post Free Agency

I'd just bounce Attaochu and move everyone else through the 4th up one pick, take Archer in the 4th

I don't think we cut Lemonier or Skuta.
supposing that Skuta will switch between ILB and OLB almost the whole season long and that we don't know s**t about Whilhoite's and Moody's real ability, picking another pass-rushing OLB isn't left out of consideration, imho.

After reading Fleming's scouting report, given his injury-proneness and Brooks' huge contract from 2015 on, I would even strongly assume that we could go for another OLB.
Not a long time ago, we b***hed around about our thin OLB-corps. Do not want to see that again...I think that I will pull the opinion about the quality status of our LB-corps back (a little bit).

I liked it but would like to see a return specialist - Don't know if Herron is that guy even though he looks like a good fit for us at receiver.

These mocks look like they're getting harder to put guys on the team than anything else. I expect us to be trading into 2015 like we have done the last couple of drafts.
Few issues:

I am not sold on Blane Gabbert, and would prefer a qb be picked in round 3.

No way, no how do the niners use a top 50 pick on an OLB . Aldon Smith, Brooks, Skuta, Lemonoir, all are worth a roster spot and SS and WR are bigger needs.

Like your mock but I just don't see room for 2 DL's. We have our 3 starters from the end of last year plus Williams returning and Carradine and Dial coming in. That's 6 for 3 positions. We probably keep maybe 7 DL's total. That leaves TJE and Okoye and the others to battle it out with any rookies for 1 more spot. Personally I think we pass on drafting any DL's this year but if one exceptional player is available we could draft 1.

That fifth round pick is tricky since the Niners could use that for a lot of different positions. I don't know if Okoye is actually in contention for a roster spot, unless I am missing something. I think Baalke will be like Brian Sabean and add to a position of obvious strength and depth, just like the Giants pitching staff. It could also be a TE (AC. Leonard or Richard Rogers) or a QB (Brett Smith from Wyoming) or maybe a RB. Just took a stab at the best player available.
Like Verrett & Moncrief picks

We could always go for a return specialist like Dri Archer, Maybe a pup list guy like Aaron Colvin at CB, possibly an H-Back or even trade the pick for a 2015 4th rounder if we don't see anyone that fell in to the 5th round that really excites us. Between TJE and Okoye we are fine with that 7th spot but if we can add a great DL it would be worth bumping them on the depth chart. We can always add more next season.

The rest of the mock would be amazing if it fell to us that way. We will see in less than a couple of months. Let's hope.

1)we will draft according to need-based BPA, imho. In particular, I don't even think that any single team picks for need only at all.
2)It is possible that Skuta has to move inside. Then, we will need another pass-rusher. Two years ago, we were VERY thin at OLB and I don't want to see that again.
3)Whether you are sold or not, is irrelevant Gabbert is here, Kaep is here. Unless a top-notch QB falls down to round 3, I am almost sure that we won't pick one until day 3. That would be WAY too much luxury.

Guys, BEFORE you make mocks and comments, PLEASE look at our contract situations in 2015 (and beyond). Especially at RayMac, Justin Smith, Anthony Davis and Ahmad Brooks. And don't forget about the guys, who will be FAs in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
