I still think if Whitner walks they sign a moderately priced Vet and draft another project S in the later rounds.

I hope we bring back Whitner. The leadership and intimidating presence are intangible assets that just aren't that easy to replace.
I've finished my evaluation of Ward and rate him in the 3rd round range. He's not a collectively impressive player. Not that he is a poor player, just doesn't appear to have star-caliber potential. He has very good quickness, which aids him well in coverage, and he has decent functional speed, but may give up more big plays than you'd like because he does not have great recovery speed when beaten initially. He shows OK strength when he has momentum, but lacks the level of strength the NFL requires to consistently wrap and drag down stronger NFL receivers, tight ends, and running backs. Another reason those big plays may happen is due to missed tackles. I've seen the collection of his big hits. He often leaves his feet, meaning if he whiffs or bounces off, he's on the ground out of the play.

Bethea in Safety is out of the question at least early in the draft

I still expect a safety sometime in the first 4 picks, most likely not in the 1st round though.

Another thing to consider is we may wait until next year to go after a safety of the future. This year, I'm beginning to think we will only take a safety high if a guy we love falls right in our lap.

Not a strong draft for safeties so its good we picked up a vet. Probably draft one late though.

Yep, most likely bye bye Clinton-Dix, Pryor, Ward... probably Bucannon too... Dixon, Loston, Boston maybe but probably not. I'd say late rounds maybe Huff could be a guy we develop. I guess it saves us from trading a 3rd to move up and get Clinton-Dix or Pryor. Saves us from using a 1st or 2nd on a SS. Gives us a ton of flexibility as CB and WR are are only needs. Can go OL or DL earlier now and maybe get someone to replace Iupati after next year if they dont think Looney is the guy. Unlikely but if we wanted to could bundle a bunch of picks and trade up for Evans or Watkins but prefer not to with Boldin coming back.

This kid is soft as hell. Dez Bryant is going to break him in half week 1 if he ever sees the field

Change your handle, because you know nothing about the draft or football.
