And he's physical as hell... and he's an outstanding special teams player.

I'd take him in a heartbeat as a GM. Roby and Verrett really have that IT factor and chip on their shoulder in the bottom half of the draft. Roby just seems to have the better build for the position and thus I prefer him over Verrett.

Roby reminds me of Nate Clements coming out. That's a good thing if it's a young Clements.

ALOT of pressure was placed on Roby after Bryant went down. I will say he didnt handle that pressure as well as he should have.
He has all the tools in the tool box. He just needs to put it all together. I like the kid a lot.

I find it mind boggling that most people I've seen rate this guy have him as a 2nd round pick. You simply don't find CB prospects with his combination of quickness & willingness to hit very often.
I think Jason Verrett's man coverage is the best in this draft, and Roby's a little raw (which is understandable because Roby's a junior), but I'd still take Roby over any other CB in this draft. His ceiling is the highest of any CB since Patrick Peterson IMO. Along with Moncrief (and maybe Tuitt), he's the other guy I think the Niners simply must have if he goes where most people are projecting him.

Sorry, but too much to gamble on athletic potential only. Many teams get burned by that and combine numbers. I prefer what a player does on game day, then back that up with combine, If you go by athletic prowess and it doesn't match the game day film, you gotta ask why? Wisconsin's Jared A lit him up and Jared is not even a first round wr canidate. He had a bad year. Unless you can tell me he had a great game against a sammy watkins or similar wr. He is to much like Mike Rumph.

Last year showed holes in his game which is the reason he is not a top 10 pick anymore but could now be available at the end of the 1st. For example he must improve his open field tackling ( he over pursues sometimes and needs to take better angles ) and must work on his route recognition ( Abbrederis is a very good route runner and took full advantage of that ). But Roby is a very good player who is always around the football and I think his flaws are coachable. Plus he can play outside, inside and exels in both off man and press man.
Bradley Roby career stats over 3 years: 132 solo tackles, 8 interceptions, 41 pass break ups.
Jason Verrett career stats over 3 years: 117 solo tackles, 9 interceptins, 41 pass break ups.
Justin Gilbert career stats over 4 years: 154 solo tackles, 12 interceptions, 32 pass break ups.
Kyle Fuller career stats over 4 years: 129 solo tackles, 6 interceptions, 32 pass break ups.
Darqueze Dennard stats over 4 years: 105 solo tackles, 10 interceptions, 26 pass break ups.

He is always around the football because he gets burned a lot and allows a lot of completions so teams throw at him. On a per target basis, his numbers look a lot worse.
