He'll be like either fran tarkenton or doug flutie type-the only thing that will keep from having a decent career will be his behavior.

didn't peyton manning say that to the colts too in 1998? or something like that.
I don't remember but I should rephrase more accurately that Manziel told Houston he wants them to draft him #1 overall so it's like he's challenging them "hey go ahead and don't pick me, you'll regret it." He alluded to possibly getting picked 3rd by Jacksonville telling the Houston Chronicle "It would be the worst decision they've ever made, I'd be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a Dorito."
First of all, Houston made a worse decision by originally selecting David Carr than they would by not selecting Johnny Football. Secondly, I get his "chip on my shoulder" analogy of comparing snack chips but honestly it was pretty dumb. Depending on your taste Fritos and Doritos are both good snacks so not much difference. I prefer Fritos which are slightly more nutritious.

Mostly. I see Manziel struggling and never really excelling in the league. He does what he can with the limitations he has.. but I don't see him starting out well, and I don't see him persevering into greatness through the years. Lots of injuries and bone-headed desperation plays will put him on the sideline and holding a clipboard after a couple of years. He likely still gets overdrafted...but I wouldn't select him in the first 2 rounds.

Here's another case of over-inflated size reporting...does he really look like he's either 6-1 or 200 lbs. I don't doubt his play-making abilities, but I do question is relatively small size. Some might say, well look at Russell Wilson, but RW's put together pretty well. Just don't see that in Manziel...think he could get crushed in the NFL.

Crash Test Dummy. He's gonna take a beating in the NFL, where the defenders are bigger, faster, stronger and smarter.

Not to mention he most likely won't have a Mike Evans to bail him out.

Hopefully he goes early to push more picks our way.
When Vick came out he was more athletic and had a bigger gun. Now, he's half the QB he was.
Running QB who aren't big will fall apart with the hits.
He show some flashes but definitely NOY a franchise QB.

IMO this guy is going to be a big boom or bust, he'll either suck so bad it's comical, or he'll blow up and be like that guy we all hate in Seattle. No in between.

NFL Films producer Greg Cosell isn't quite sure what to make of Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel, but he sure didn't like what he saw in the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner's last two regular-season games. Speaking with the Midday 180 radio program in Nashville (comments at 16:35 mark), Cosell said he doesn't believe any of the top quarterbacks in the 2014 draft, Manziel included, stand out as the type of passer who would stand out as a surefire top-10 pick in most drafts.
"He played two games this year, LSU and Missouri,(and) if those were the first two games you put on and watched, you'd say he was almost undraftable," Cosell said. "He was so bad in those two games, that you'd struggle to figure out, can I even draft this guy?"

Does Cosell watch games using Braille? Undraftable?
He has a couple of misreads, with WR's dropping tons of passes, playing in the rain against an elite college defense, and that makes him "undraftable"?
Can someone explain to me what is "undraftable" about this tape?

He was 16 of 41 for 220 yards and 2 INT's, are you trolling here? Looked awful, bad footwork, terrible in the pocket, poor accuracy, just flat out terrible.
The scary thing is that LSU made things very difficult for him and made him look like a deer in the headlights twice in two years. They did a great job in mixing coverages, sending timely blitzes and forcing Manziel to move to his left where he's a far less effective passer. A defense like the 49ers is perfectly setup to give Manziel some of the exact same headaches in the NFL.

Be interesting to see how a guy like this can handle a quick 3 or 4 million in his bank account and a shoe endorsement deal. Seems like an overgrown 13 year old at this point.

But then he played great vs Alabama the last 2 years (iirc)
