Again, this is NOT a mock, because I'm horrible at predicting who the Niners will pick (Michael Robinson and Kaepernick are the only two I can recently remember getting right) but it is a list of players who I think we could really get value from especially in the lower rounds and as UDFA.

Jarvis Landry WR 6'0" 195 Sr. LSU Projected Round: 2

Makes extremely tough catches, should be ready to work in platoon well.

Ahmad Dixon S 6'2" 206 Sr. Baylor Projected Round: 3

Bookend to groom next to Reid, insurance/protege for Whitner, brings even nastier edge to secondary

Victor Hampton CB 5'11" 195 Jr. Clemson Projected Round: 3-4

Aggressive CB with good size who can blitz and play the run fairly well.

Cody Latimer WR 6'2" 215 Sr. Indiana Projected Round: 4

In the Josh Gordon mold. Speed/athleticism are excellent, could contribute on special teams right away.

Jordan Najvar TE 6'6" 262 5Sr Baylor Projected Round: 5-6

Stanford transfer hidden by Baylor offense. Can really catch and run. Makes very tough catches.

Andrew Jackson LB 6'1" 259 Sr. Western Kentucky 6-7

Understudy to Bowman and Willis, may be able to play ILB and OLB in a pinch

Nevin Lawson CB 5'10" 185 Sr. Utah State Projected Round: 7-FA

Tough CB, also plays the run well.

Lorenzo Taliaferro RB 6'1" 231 Sr. Coastal Carolina Projected Round: 7-FA

Big back with good vision. Could platoon with Lattimore/Hunter behind Gore.

Dustin Vaughan QB 6'5" 232 Sr. W Texas A&M Projected Round: 7-FA

Sleeper QB with really live arm. Could be a gamer.

Ryan Carrethers NT 6'2" 330 Sr. Arkansas State Projected Round: 7-FA

Big Body to develop in DL rotation.

Out of these options, I like Landry, Hampton, and Latimer. Not sure about Dixon.. he sure LOOKS like a 4-3 linebacker running around rather than a cover safety.

I like these guys. I like Dixon, I would not mind if we got him at all.. But I would prefer Deone Bucannon. Hes bigger and better ball skills, imho
