I'd like to see Millard used the way the dolphins used Charles Clay. IIRC he was a FB in college also. Maybe he can take dixons role as well as celeks as 3rd TE

Shehawks picked up a bowling ball of a pick in 5'8 250 lb FB blocking specialist Kiero Small. Oh there are going to be some major collisions in the NFC West this year with Borland, Buccannon, Hyde, and Small.

I'm hoping, Trey Millard is a Larry Centers/Keith Byars type FB, but I'd settle for Tom Rathman. Brusing all-around FB's who can catch the ball out of the backfield.
Just an FYI, Larry Centers had 101 receptions in a year and followed that up with 99 the next.

Amazing talent, can't believe he fell that far. I was thinking 4th or 5th round. I love him as a H-back or I would even love to see him and Miller in split -back sets. Man so many of the 9ers draft picks I'm actually pretty anxious to see, Marcus Martin is one of my favorite picks in this draft, 9ers finally draft a true center.

I wanted him and Skov and got them both. I think Millard will cause a stir in the starting rotation next year. He will get time this year too, as he is very versatile as a H-Back type player. Delaine Walker 2.0 I think. GLAD WE GOT HIM.!

That's exactly who he reminds me of-Larry Centers, but he can blast a hole free a lil bettet tho.

Similar versatility but quite a bit bigger than Centers who was around 220 in his playing days. Probably my favorite Cardinals player of all time, figures that when I moved out here the first time, he had already been cut.

In a recent interview with The Oklahoman, Millard was asked about his versatility and how that would translate into the NFL.http://newsok.com/oklahoma-football-san-francisco-49ers-pick-fullback-trey-millard-in-the-seventh-round-of-the-nfl-draft/article/4748449
"That's been my number one quality," Millard responded. "When you have a 53-man roster, you need guys who can do multiple things. That's something that I bring to the table, as well as being a special teams guy."

And I'd still make fun of you for suggesting a RB in the 1st round today. RB's seem to keep falling back further and further in the draft, Hyde was a late 2nd rounder.
I said at that time the 49ers biggest need was a slot corner, what did the 49ers end up drafting in the 1st? A guy who they will have playing the slot next season. Don't come up here trying to play gotcha when nothing about this draft helped your actual claims.
And i qoute "the whole idea is kinda silly...i dont see the need for rb what so ever short of taking a flyer on somebody in the later rounds" lol hey man is it alright if i still create a thread even though i dont have 500 posts? Oh nevermind im just high and delusional

I don't know what previously banned member you are but you really need to get over it. I was far from the only person who said that taking a RB in the 1st round was a bad idea, clearly I touched you deep down in your feels somewhere, so I'm quite sorry for hurting your feels.
