To me, pretty much locked in as a 43 DE. Looks like a Bengals' type DE: tall and long arms.
He does have the frame to put on 15 pounds to maybe shift to a 34 DE, but he'd have to get stronger.
I think he ends up a late second or early third.

Seriously, I didn't think much of the pick either!

Sitting here after work...with a beverage in hand...I hope this kid works through his difficulties and has a great life. Football is secondary to me but if he can straighten up as a niner I will be so much more gratified than if he straightens up for/with another team. I haven't read anything that indicates he is a bad person.

To me, he seems like a strict 4-3 DE.

Good post - exactly my thoughts on Martin. Vikings, Bears, and Cowboys are good fits for him. Anything 3-4 related scheme is not.

I was kinda surprised that the Cardinals, who basically run a 3-4 scheme, picked him in the 3th. Where do you people think they will play him ?

Yes good point. Basically they run a 3-4 but their devensive coordinator Todd Bowles definitely switches things around up front quite a bit. Using different looks and hybrid formations which makes Martin a good fit as their hybrid defensive end/linebacker.
