Good stuff. Love the cap and contract work. That really is the key to our offseason moves.

AB, Frank Gore must lower his cap number from 6.45 million. He simply isn't a 6.5 million dollar running back anymore. That number needs to be cut in half and I'd still draft a RB like Jeremy Hill. Gore,Lattimore,Hunter,James and Hill would be a very good stable of backs and after next season you let Gore walk after his contract expires.

Just a couple things...
1) I don't think Whitner stays for that much, My guess he'll be looking for and will be able to get more money than that elsewhere.
2) I see you mentioned the contract extensions for Kap, Aldon, and Crab toward the end, but I think those get done (Kap and Aldon in particular) and in the case of Kap probably substantially increases his cap hit. Aldon and Crab already have decent sized cap numbers (as I recall Crab in particular) so structuring the deal to be similar in size cap-wise might be somewhat doable, but Kaps # is so low that I can't see how to structure it without significantly changing his 2014 cap #. I hope I'm wrong so please correct me if I am.

Nice work as always, AB. Glad we have a realistic shot at retaining Boldin and Whitner.

For Iupati which I forgot. I think he will want too much. I hope I'm wrong, and we get him signed on the reasonable deal.
AB--Do you see a world where Davis can move to guard and (Marquardt/Bykowski) could compete for a right tackle spot? It seems that Davis' size and nastiness could work inside.

Other than Matthews being around in the 2nd (which I don't think will happen, but it's always possible) and not selecting 2 WRs in this draft, I like that off-season plan. Great job as usual AB!

I agree. I didn't go farther, I figure this is a god starting spot, so people know we can keep the top 3 guys, plus guys like Cox, Wilhoite, and Osgood, plus sign a vet QB.
I imagine Gore will restructure, maybe add 1 year at most.

1. I think Whitner would be fine with $5M a yr average, and most guaranteed. Plus he stays in a solid/great defense here.
2. I think 2 of the 3 get done in the offseason. My bet is Kap and Aldon. Crabs might be tough.

Interesting. I think Davis would be ok at Guard, not sure they do it though.

I'm new around here and not sure how you did all that but I love it! I don't know what your track record is but I hope it comes true!

what about the extensions for Aldon and Kap ?
also I would not want to pay Whitner 5 million per year.

Thanks Ghost. I think by May Matthews becomes an early 2nd rd pick at worst.

I don't like whitner... They are phasing his type out of the game. Kinda like gholdson. He is bad in coverage and doesn't wrap up

Thanks, and welcome to the Zone.
Check out my site, http://www.ninercaphell.com/ for salaries for all players on the 49ers. I have been doing this for for 12 years, started online around 2005/2006, then for my site around 2006, took it over in 2009, and have run it since. I don't like doing the whole I am great at this thing, but I do have a good following here, and other 49ers websites. I have sources, of course I cant reveal them. But trust me I am usually accurate. I have salaries for all 32 teams also in an excel workbook. Some of the deals aren't completed, in process of cleaning up errors I have seen.
But for the most part everyone knows I am accurate and good at this.
