Does anybody realize the WZ wants a WR for the 1st round pick every year for the past decade? You guys are like Matt Millen. Good thing you are not the GM. Believe it or not there are other positions to fill on a football field besides WR.

Well...folks generally want what they don't have and that would be a WR until this year. This is the first year since...TO and Rice started together that the team has two legitimate NFL receivers. That was in 2000 and the next year started the disintegration of the position...JJ Stokes replaced Rice and TO became meTO.

Boldin is a FA this off season and if the team can't sign him they are going to have to count on Patton...or another FA who may or may not be successful here. It would be nice to have two rookies pushing Patton for time on the field if Boldin leaves and it would nice to have three young WRs pushing Boldin and Crabtree if he stays.

We got CB, S, DL, C to fill also. Just as important.

They are important but Baalke has shown the ability to find CBs to fill in through FAcy and DL is only a need if you think they might draft a beast NT...which they are disinclined to do. So my priority list would be WR and SS at the top...both positions that can be filled by really good rookies. They have five young CBs with talent (Brock, Culliver, Cox, Morris and Wright) and four young DLmen (Dial, Jerod-Eddy, Dobbs and Carradine)...the best hasn't even played this year. So that's like getting a top draft pick at DL before the draft begins.

At the bottom of the first and through the second rounds, there are six or seven WRs and almost as many Safeties. A top CB could fall in the first but it is not likely, so I don't count on it.

Past Crabtree who is your number two WR? Patton? Boldin who will be a FA? No depth there to speak of. Osgood and Baldwin are not likely to suddenly become starting WRs.

Safety is almost as bad. Reid and ? Whitner could be resigned but if he leaves who is the next guy up? Dahl? Spillman? Spillman may have some room to grow but he hasn't moved Dahl to the bench.

Center is an unknown because I really have no idea what the team thinks of Kilgore or Looney. I would like to see a second or third rounder used for a true center but...who knows!?

watch, Sammy Watkins ends up in Seattle.......................

They already blew a 1st and 3rd to get Harvin who's played like 20 snaps this season, they're not going to trade the farm for Watkins when they will have plenty of other needs as well, they've got a lot of free agents who will be getting raises or simply walking this offseason.

I was just gonna ask in the game day thread, what did Seattle give up to get Harvin. Damn, they definitely got robbed lmfao!!

And I agree, Watkins won't go to Seattle, that would cost the farm no doubt.

So we should keep drafting them every year so we can get 1 good one? That's what Millen did with fail after fail.

In fairness nobody ever said they wanted AJ Jenkins. Even Matt Millen was above that selection.
