Give Me Your Ideal 1st - 3rd Round Mini Mock

It's fun to consider all the possibilities because we have no idea what Baalke will do!

Only problem I see here is the need to trade a first this year and a first or second next year to move up for Gilbert. Many have him going in the top ten.
1. Verrett (Trade up use 4th and change to move up to 25ish) or Fuller at 30
2. Matthews/Beckham (Trade Up From 56 Use Our 3rd and change to get to 40ish)
2. BPA at DL (Easley/D. Jones/Sutton) - These guys have great potential, let Tomsula work his magic.
3. Trade for 2nd Next Year If Possible or 3rd/4th,etc Next Year (Or Keep BPA OL, CB, WR, Etc)
4. Comp BPA (OL, CB, WR, Etc)
1. Stephen Tuitt- DE: I don't think its a given that Tank is the heir apparent. Bring in some competition and let them battle it out. I think the 5 man DE rotation of Justin Smith, Ray McDonald, Tony Jerod-Eddie, Tank Carradine, and Tuitt would be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

2. O'dell Beckham- WR: I don't believe he will last this late. But if Carolina passes on him, I think there's a pretty good chance he could slip into the second round. The only other team I'm concerned about taking him potentially is Jacksonville, who has their issues with Justin Blackmon. Regardless I think packaging LaMichael James + Kansas City's 2nd round pick should allow us to take him if he's available.

2. LaMarcus Joyner- CB/FS- PLAYMAKER!! Can back-up at both CB and FS. I'd also be more comfortable with Joyner out there than Dahl should Eric Reid get hurt again.

3. Robert Herron- WR: More deep ball speed to round out our group of receivers.

3. Walt Aikens- CB: More size in the defensive backfield. Insurance if we cannot extend Culliver. Can also match up with the larger receivers.

3. Dri Archer- RB: Essentially replaces LaMichael James. More speed, can return kicks, and hopefully will keep his mouth shut.

4. Johnathan Dowling- S: Can sit and learn behind Bethea for few years. Tremendous size as well. We can afford to develop him with two solid starters in Reid and Bethea around at least two years.

I believe we have one fifth and three sevenths after this. I wouldn't mind flipping the 5th into a 2015 4th and then picking up some low-risk/high reward type players to redshirt in the seventh round.

**A little redundant to take Archer and Beckham, so instead I say we stay put and take Moncrief with Kansas City's pick.**

1. Verrett
2. Mathews
3. Moncrief
4. Gaines
5. Game over

If our 1st 4 pics went something like that I would have wet dreams up until TC.

1) Beckham- he is pro ready and fills the need of a speedy wide receiver. He needs to get stronger though. I also love his reliable hands.
2a) Desir- big, strong, and shows a lot of potential.
2b) Joyner- I know a lot of people don't think he'll be available here, but I think he's going to fall on draft day. He's a great playmaker, and plays bigger than his size.
3a) Easly- Baalke injury special. He'll add to our pass rushing rotation.
3b) Traded with 1st to grab Beckham.
3c) Barrow- He'll provide us with some good depth.
1. Jeremiah Attaochu OLB
2. Donte Moncreif WR
2. Phillip Gaines/Pierre Desir CB
3. Robert Herron WR
3. Rashaad Renoylds CB
3. Telvin Smith SS/LB
4. Preston Brown ILB

Gonna try and be realistic cuz I see a lot that aren't...

1. Jason Verrett
2a. Donte Moncrief
2b. Bashaud Breeland
3a. Bruce Ellington
3b. Shayne Skov
3c. Travis Swanson

I don't think Gilbert is going to last that long, as well as SJB
