ok obviously a lot of us including myself love Justin gilbert and Darqueze Dennard and hope and want to draft 1 of them..that being said I just did my weekly stroll of mock drafts on the internet and realized both are in almost every mock and both are in the top 15..realized Dennard the most in the top 10..idk but are they the top 2 corners in the draft this year now..?

Not really, I haven't looked at many of the mocks, I still see Gilbert as a late 1st rounder/early 2nd rounder, with Dennard definitely moving up further into the first round in my eyes, he's had a hell of a season and I don't see him making it past the Top 20 picks.
I see Gilbert or Verrett being available for the 49ers and I'm really fine with either one.

honestly out of about 12 mocks I looked at about 5 have us drafting Jason verret from tcu at number 27-30...it would suck if we missed out on a chance at drafting both of them..

I like Verrett a lot, originally he's a guy who seemed out of reach but he'd be a nice addition, no doubt about it, major league ball hawk type, on the smaller side but very aggressive, tough, has outstanding footwork for a cornerback.
My preference is Dennard obviously, but if he's gone, Gilbert or Verrett would work as well.

I agree completely..every tcu game I watched verret stood out a lot..a nice nickel back 2 start who will become a starter but I feel like gilbert will be the same and a dynamic return man who we wont have 2 say catch it catch it on every kick.and .yes dennard I think is goin 2 be special..every other mock had us taking a wide out..ranging from beckham to coleman to Richardson to robinson to landry..a lot that had us taking a corner in the 1st had us taking brandin cooks in the 2nd..i haven't seen him much..is he as fast and dynamic as they say..?

I think Cooks can be a good NFL receiver, he seems to be a more complete player than his former teammate Markus Wheaton, I think the offseason will determine a lot as to where he will go, I see him as an early to mid 3rd rounder right now but wouldn't be surprised to see him move up to the early 2nd with a very good offseason.

I honestly don't know where to put him. He'd certainly be gone by the middle of the 2nd round. If he does declare and has a good offseason, he could even jump in front of Lee who had a semi-disappointing season along with the injury issues. Right now I have the WR's ranked as follows....not necessarily in terms of who i think will be the better player, but how I think they'd be drafted.
1. Watkins
2. Evans
3. Lee
4. Matthews
5. Adams
6. Beckham
7. Robinson
8. Moncrief
9. Richardson
10. Cooks

agree on most think id put Brandon coleman in there at the end..i think the fact that gary nova sucked this year hurt him a lot..i can see the pats taking him in the 1st..belechik loves Rutgers ..

I disagree about Coleman, I think he'll get drafted sooner than he rightfully should. He's not a strong route runner, then again neither is Moncrief, but where he loses me is his tendency for drops and iffy hands. He's one of those guys who could fall back quite a bit if he doesn't have a good offseason.

I think his offseason and combine will put him back in the mix bc he isn't having a season every 1 thought he would so therefor he has dropped..but ur correct to bc if his combine is a bust he will fall quite a bit..who is this vandy wideout that sat out all season and entered the draft..chris boyd..don't remember him at all..

Yeah, Boyd is actually pretty talented, didn't get the attentions that Matthews did and got booted off the team for lying about some rape accusations, he's got some character issues, most likely won't be drafted.

Depends on the position. I know a lot of people like Jeff Janis at WR. I also like TJ Jones, he's been immensely productive at Notre Dame, very good quality receiver that is flying in under the radar. Ryan Grant of Tulane is a small school guy who isn't exactly under the radar but has been highly productive and gets overlooked a lot. Bernard Reedy out of Toledo and Jeremy Johnson out of SMU are two small school sleeper types who could move up a lot with a productive offseason.
