I like the pick. Clinton-Dix is a solid player. Safety is a need.... if we fail to resign Whitner (who I think deserves a modest extension after his play so far this season). WR and CB are bigger needs. But getting the right player is always more important than getting the right position.
That said, I'm not a fan of your projected draft order... I think 49ers - Broncos is a more likely super-bowl matchup than Chiefs - Seahawkes
i think he went with how the draft would happen right now if the season ended. niners will draft 32nd on the official draft board u dont think we'll go WR in the 1st AB?
If we go WR I hope it's either Allen Robinson, Paul Richardson or Donte Moncrief. I am wary of Evans. Idk, but something says TE to me at times. I like him a lot. I just wonder if he is a true WR or a Delanie like, who converts to TE.

Great mock.
Too much for me to take in overall.
BUT I do look within our division and IMO, I feel the Rams need a QB more than anything.
I know it' way early but I feel they have to make a move for a top flight QB.
Then again, I thought we'd move up in the draft to get Sheldon Richardson - so WTF.
Thanks for the mock.

Wow Roby at 15. I love Roby, but that's a little early than i expected here, with some of the things this season.
Personally if he fell closer to 20 i would make a move for him similar to what we did with Reid last year. Like Roby alot. Also want his teammate Bryant.
Overall though i would be fine with the pick you have us making.

2 things jump out at me here, one, what is SF doing at #26 and not #32 AB? I'll assume we traded up again...
next, several QBs going in round 1 and Manziel is not one of them, he redshirted his freshman year so he's allowed to come out this season no? Assuming he does, I really feel like the 49ers should consider drafting a backup QB as high as round 2. I know that's tough to spend that type of a pick on somebody whom we want to sit on the bench the whole year, but Johnny Football might be perfect for this system and end up being a decent trade chip a couple years down the line, thoughts?

He has it based on current standings.

Nice mock, Khalil Mack's arrow is definitely pointing upwards. Hundley and Mettenberger are in that Bermuda Triangle part of the draft, mid teens to twenty's, where quarterbacks don't pan out. Some quarterback hungry team will take them early.

Are you saying Hundley and Mett aren't talented? They're more likely to succeed than Manziel or Mariotta. Both are ready for the pros or as ready as you get.

Everyone has Mariota in their mock drafts, but he hasn't declared yet. He's only a sophmore, and as a Ducks fan, I don't think he's ready.
The Ducks style of offense, gets reciever's wide open. That's why you see QBs like Dennis Dixon and Darron Thomas putting up great numbers but not cutting it in the NFL. So his NFL quality passing skills are still in question. His legs are not. I'm sure he'll be drafted very high when he does declare, and could be every bit the QB that Kaepernick is, but I think he'll struggle mightly if he comes out next year and is expected to start.
BTW, I've been very impressed with the LBs of UCLA and Stanford. They've got some nasty ballers! Shayne Skov is an animal, his speed might hurt his stock, but you could put him in on running downs...

Clowney is the first defensive player based on physical attributes but Barr is a top 5 pick. If I'm one of your team picking an online men in the top 10 I would pick Barr first hands down. He's a pass rusher of the highest calibre and those are picked at a premium. Second, did you see Mariota tonight? I have watched him all season, soaking his style in. I've noticed some things that can't be ignored. He can't make all the throws a qb needs to make. Awful at the back shoulder and corner. He doesn't shuffle his feet which makes him a statue in the pocket. He doesn't square his shoulders. His throwing motion is slow and awkward. He's not a #2 pick. He's barely a developmental pick in the 3rd rd. I mean literally all the traits you needs to have in the NFL he has the opposite of. Let me ask. What do you think of Hundley? I think him and Aaron Murray are the 3 & 4 behind bridgewater and Boyd.

If Dix is available in the late first round absolutely you take him.

mike evans would make a bigger impact than dix, in my opinion
and johnny manziel is a better qb prospect than hundley boyd or bridgewater--he may only be 6-0 but so is brees

Im not impressed. That story may lighten his Heisman hit but if he was playing that bad because of injury they should've pulled him before the game. I mean my dude tried his best and played through the pain for his team but his "injury" isnt an excuse. He was pure hype. The Oregon/Pac12 media machine tried to paint this guy into something that he is not. Ive never seen such a meltdown since Jorden Jefferson in the 2011 CG. Mariotta literally displayed every characteristic you dont want to see in a prospect. His best play, the cross field throw, was a major no no. Yet again hes.nowhere near ready. Hes a 3-5th rd pick and thats generous. Its sad that theres so many pro ready QBs in this class and the media hype has this limp noodle going top 5.
