Davante is a great kid, his dad (Doug)is a friend of mines.
He grew up in East Palo Alto and it was clear he was going to be special even when he was just 10 years old! He is going to continue to shock the people that are doubting his ability.
Just for the record, he is a red-shirt sophomore and he is coming out this year absolutely 100% guaranteed!

There's no way he should stay. His stock can't get any higher.

I know Baalke went to the SDST and FRES game last weekend. It was reported he was checking out Derek Carr but I read somewhere he was really checking out Adams. It was a creditable source but I can not remember the name to save my life right now.

I know this is from someone on FB I follow but he is very informative and knowledgeable on draft prospects and I honestly do not see him lying about this.
"Last week I posted that Trent Baalke was at the Fresno State @ San Jose State game, along with numerous NFL scouts. It was reported that Baalke was watching QB Derek Carr during pre-game warmups. Well, after the game, I had a twitter conversation with David Lombardi (basically the Matt Maiocco of Stanford football), and he said there is no doubt Baalke was there to see Carr and QB David Fales, but Lombardi strongly believes Baalke was really there to scout Fresno State redshirt sophomore WR Davante Adams."
Take that for what it is worth. We will see...

I would love to snag this kid at the end of the first, really would. But i just refuse to get my hopes up. Once/if he declares, then i will get more excited, and then we will draft someone i have never heard of.

It's not overly published but many GMs do some scouting work.
Plus, the game was against San Jose State in the South Bay. It's practically a 10 minute drive from 49ers HQ.

For what it's worth, he submitted a request to the NFL Draft Advisory Board today. So he's definitely thinking of jumping to the NFL.

Probably makes the most sense for him to follow Carr to the pros while his draft stock is high. He would have a shot at being the #1 wr taken next season with another big year, but it would be a gamble.

I am bit confused because some sites have him listed as a red shirt sophomore and that would mean that he has been out of high school for three years.
He only needs to three years out of high school to be draft eligible.
Other sites have him draft eligible in 2016, which does not make that much sense to me.
When I am wrong, I am wrong.
He is eligible this year.
And I think getting him would be very good.
