You're most likely right, tell you something, I certainly didn't expect AJ Jenkins back in 2012.

So I'll go with Mike Evans and Paul Richardson. Baalke has more than enough ammo to trade up for Evans in the top 15 and Richardson is the quick-speedy-fluid receiver with a little bit of size to him, IMO, similar to Emanuel Sanders.

Those are my two least expected receivers to be drafted by the 9ers, and not the two I'd want as 9ers.
jordan matthews ....... he has the complete package he can be physical at the los , and he can get separation , he is a first round pick , the other small receiver are speedy but will they be able to handle physical corners like seacocks

I think Richardson and Marqise Lee are the two guys I'd say we will target that a good portion of us don't want or wouldn't expect. Although frankly, I'd be perfectly fine with both, after conducting extensive research and game study.

I see Lee being projected at 30 fairly often now...dropped quite a bit over the last month. I'd be fine with him but no matter who is taken it would be great to have an insurance pick in the second or third.

I like this class a lot, and I can say that among the WRs, there aren't many that I would say "I hate this pick" if we took them. Then again, it depends a lot on the round.

The only player that I don't want us to touch whatsoever is Brandon Coleman. In my mind worth nothing more than AT BEST a 6th round pick.

I would be ecstatic if Lee dropped to us. Every year people around this time get enamored with 2 things: Size and Timed Speed. Forget both of those things, and remember who pops out on tape. Lee is a baller, point blank period. Same goes with Jarvis Landry.

I like Richardson as a 3rd rd possibility. He could fit a specific role early on to help stretch the field, while he fills out his frame and grows into the position.

Agree on Coleman. Not crazy about any of the king-sized WRs in this draft, except for Evans. Benjamin, Bryant, and Coleman scare me to death.

Yah, I'm one of those that do not want Marquise Lee unless it's in the 2nd, I just think Lee is overrated in. But I wouldn't be mad if Richardson turned out to be a 49er.

So, all that being said, the guys are want are:

Benjamin
Moncrief or Bryant
Ellington

That would give us a guy with elite big play potential (think Alshon Jeffery), a guy with speed and toughness (think Ruben Randle), and fearless slot/return man with speed (I think he could be something like Eddy Royal when he's playing well).

I know at least half of you will think I'm nuts, so bring on the flaming.

When you say return man, I think of a player who can return punts and kick-offs.

In 39 games, Ellington has returned 38 kick offs for 869 yards.
That is an average of a little less than 23 yards per return.
That career average that would have put at about #54th among last year's FBS kick off returners.

Furthermore, Ellington only returned 3 punts for 16 yards in his 39 college games.

If we draft him it should be on his strength as a wide receiver.

Calling him a return man seems to inflate his demonstrated skill level.

I just read a scout's analysis of him that said he had the skill set to be a good return man at the next level, even though it was not his primary role in college.

But since we need WRs more than return specialists, I'd rather bring in a guy I like as a WR and see if he can also be useful in the return game.

38 kick returns is still pretty good experience, even if his production wasn't amazing. At least he looks competent back there.

We should be able to get two good receiver prospects out of this draft. Just be thankful it's a deep class.

Davante Adams + Bruce Ellington

or

Cody Latimer + Bruce Ellington

I really want us to draft Matthews but I have a tough time to believe that he will make iit past the Bucs in the 2nd round. Vincent Jackson + Jordan Matthews + Tiquan Underwood.

As for Moncrief I dont think that he willl make it past the NJG in the 2nd round. Rueben Randle + Victor Cruz + Donte Moncrief.

Lee and Landry would be an unbelieveable duo for the future! Then get a smaller, faster guy later on and...

I hope we draft CB with our 1st pick (Whenever that may be due to trades). As for WRs I can see us taking Lee as his stock seems to be dropping.
