Wide Receiver Class of 2014

Ty Montgomery fits the bill as a returner/receiver that we need greatly. This is a deep WR class so he may opt to return for his senior season.

Sophmore Mizzou Tigers 6'6 225 and can run. Keep an eye on him in the 2015 draft.

He's very well known (top high school prospect of his class), but he is still too young to be drafted

Maybe hire a WR consultant to advise them on their selection.

So who are some of tha better WR coachs ???

Considering that there could be some major changes coming to the Houston Texans, maybe we could hire WR Coach, Larry Kirksey? He has coached with the 49ers in the past.

Being from Minnesota, I'm a big fan of George Stewart - WR Coach - Vikings. He's developed Harvin, Wright, Patterson, S. Rice, and other prospects. And he also coached for the 49ers from 1996 - 2002.
Some very enlightening stat info on the WRs... dig around, and there's more on other positions here...

I'd be the happiest Niner fan if we drafted Lee and re-signed Boldin. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Just imagine defenses trying to stop Lee, Boldin, Crabs and VD with Gore/Lattimore/Hunter and Kap threatening from the backfield.
are fans fine with trading up to select Marquise Lee?

I'd go Justin Gilbert with our 1st rounder and Adams with one of our 2nd rounders.

We are still a very long way from the draft.

At this point, my inclination is to favor taking of Jordan Mathews, Alan Robinson or Davante Adams with a high pick.

I still have to check on the intangibles that Adams brings to the table.

In other words, trade everything for Sammy Watkins.

That works for me too!

Yeah, I need to spend time digging into these WR's games myself. The only team I watched consistently this year was LSU and Miss State... good number of S. Carolina games too. I seem to be a bigger fan of Beckham Jr. and Landry than most of the draft world. I really wanted someone with real speed... but many of these guys don't appear to be real burners... but some still have deep threat ability.

Adams in the first (if he declares) and cooks in the second(probably would have to move up to get him). WR group fixed.

Crabtree/ Adams/ Cooks/ Patton

I don't think Adams will make it to the 49ers/Chiefs picks in the 2nd round

I would have no problem with the selection of Beckham or Landry with one of our first three picks.

I tend to think that defenses were more able to focus on stopping Matthews and Robinson because they were the only serious receiving threats on their teams--and despite that focus Mathews and Robinson just could not be stopped.
