There's finna be lots of rumors in the next day. Post them here
RT @RapSheet: Sheldon Richardson? RT @JasonColeYahoo If NYJ is serious about trade down, as Idzik intimates, SF is the most likely partner.
And the chiefs apparently might be taking Fisher over Joeckel

Yup was just chatting with some Jets fans. This trade makes perfect sense for the Jets as they want a QB but don't want to draft one too high. I'm sure it's there for the taking if the Niners want it. Question...if Star and Richardson are available, who do you take at #13?

The Jets makes sense, but at 13th I am going wideout. Everyone will have their favourite, it will be between Austin, Patterson and Hunter.

You really think we're gonna move up in the 1st to take a WR?

Austin can be gone to buffalo, I'm not taking Patterson or hunter at 13

Yes, I do.
This is my thinking, is not just about how a top WR could take our O over the edge, but equally important is the cost of letting a big time playmaker go to another team which might come back to bite us.

Yep, Austin could well be gone. But, if you don't take Patterson or Hunter, I can guarantee you they will be gone way before 31st in any case. If that's the case, you better hope we will be ready to go against them especially if Patterson goes to the Rams, that's twice a year.

If we don't trade up, then I would say TE, namely Zach Ertz at 31st.

If we trade to 13 it will be to scoop up whichever of these "top 10" talents falls: Floyd, Star, or Ansah.
If none of them fall, our fallback will in all likelihood be Sheldon Richardson or Tank Carradine.

That is a possibility, but if Austin is still around (I am not even a fan), I can guarantee you we will pick him.

I'm so torn about Austin (though I'm mostly down on him). I admit he could become a star, but everyone is acting like it's a 100% sure thing. Why does no one see the bust potential of past small/fast WRs in the top 10: Ginn, Williamson, Warrick....

If available I say Richardson, Lotulelei or Austin would make the most sense. I'd trade up with the Jets if they weren't asking much because none of them would start off the bat (well maybe Star at NT) and not 100% confident in the first two players. I'd rather sit back at 31 and 34 and trade down from one of the spots and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd or even trade it away for a 1st next year. Not a big fan of the top 20 or so this year, like people have been saying there isnt too much of a drop off from 25 to 45. Don't need a CB that bad that we need to trade up to get one.
I think a lot of media speculating and saying "oh, the 49ers have the most picks so they can afford to trade up and therefore are the most likely." Doesn't mean it won't happen but we do our due diligence so we could be calling teams up and getting an idea of what they want and finding the best value. Could be that or it could be just curiosity and having little interest at all.

That is a chance you just have to take. If Austin works out, he is just too huge a playmaker to pass on, he can be a difference maker right from the word go (and that is coming from a guy who wants Hunter). Unless we only trade up into the 20s, then I want Hunter.
