Updated Top 34 Mock plus remaining picks (4/22)

The trade of Revis has shook things up a bit, along with Cleveland's decision to not over-invest in the secondary. It doesn't really impact the 49ers' Picks much -- we still get Datone Jones and Tyler Eifert at 31 and 34.

Pick Team Selection Reason

1.01 - 1.1 Kansas City (2-14) - Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M - Biggest Need - would love to trade it

1.02 - 1.2 Jacksonville (2-14) - Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon - Best Player in Draft

1.03 - Oakland (4-12) - Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida - Safest Pick in the Draft

1.04 - Philadelphia (4-12) - Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan - Solid

1.05 - Detroit (4-12) - Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma - Dark Horse Pick

1.06 - Cleveland (5-11) - Star Lotulelei, DT/NT, Utah Don't wanter overinvest in CB -- Star makes this D-line Elite

1.07 - Arizona (5-11) - Ezekiel Ansah, DE/OLB, BYU - Pass Rusher to chase Kaepernick and Wilson around

1.08 - Buffalo (6-10) - Geno Smith, QB, WVU - He fell to them -- good for them!

1.09 - New York Jets (6-10) - Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama What a great replacement for Revis

1.1 - Tennessee (6-10) - Chance Warmack, G, Alabama - Good for a dozen pro bowls

1.11 - San Diego (7-9) - Jonathan Cooper, G/C, North Carolina - Their O-line is an absolute train-wreck

1.12 - Miami (7-9) - Xavier Rhodes, CB, FSU - Biggest need -- a bit of a reach

1.13 - New York Jets (6-10) - Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas - Their secondary is rebuilt almost overnight; Huge Need, not that much of a reach

1.14 - Carolina (7-9) - Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri - BPA; Huge Need

1.15 - New Orleans (7-9) - Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU - They're in love with Mingo

1.16 - St. Louis (7-8-1) - Tavon Austin, WR, WVU - I'm not as high on Tavon as others

1.17 - Pittsburgh (8-8) - Tank Carradine, DE, Florida State Nice Replacement for Harrison

1.18 - Dallas (8-8) - D.J. Fluker, OT/G, Alabama - Much Better than Doug Free

1.19 - New York Giants (9-7) - Bjoern Werner, DE, FSU - Nice replacement

I love all your picks. I especially love the idea of not 'out-thinking' the room. Out-thinking the room tells you that it's a great idea to draft AJJenkins in the first round. I would much rather take known quantities, big names from big conferences with proven gametape. Sure, hitting on Jenkins may make Baalke look like a Jedi, but no one was surprised he sucked last year. Taking someone like Eifert, whom most draftniks love, is such a no brainer I hope it actually happens

But Baalke doesn't give a damn what I, or anyone else thinks. I love him for that, I just hope he doesn't try and 'out-think' the room.

Love the picks. Would be if it went down this way, which means that it most likely won't

Best player in the draft is not Jordan, its Floyd.
Doubt the Niners pick all 13. Can Datone be a designated pass rusher at least his rookie year?
At 2.02 BPA (especially for the Niners) D.J. Hayden. Unless you're saying Jacksonville takes him at 2.01.

co sign they should take him at 31 if he's on the board. And I don't see Swearinger making it out of the 2nd round.
Good around draft ... rather have B.Williams instead of Jenkins N IMO a B N QB are wasted picks maybe a ILB(WE NEED BACKUPS) or OLB at #131... in all I'd give u a solid B
Would love if this happens, but realistically, I don't think Eifert will be there in round 2, I think Jones will probably be gone by 31 (Hunt will probably be there instead), Swearinger might not be there, and Lattimore definitely won't be there at the end of round 4. This draft definitely addresses our needs, but I doubt Baalke will count on players falling to those spots if he likes any of them.
Nice mock
There's a heck of a lot to like here for me... nice job! Datone Jones and Tyler Eifert with our first 2 is without a doubt my favorite possible scenario. Add Swearinger later and it's just more happy- .
To give you an idea how happy I would be if we got Jones and Eifert: If I found out we traded to #14, they would both be high on my list of targets even that high. If the draft falls your way, the 49ers won the lottery.

I also don't have beef with Jenkins and Swearinger. But I place a much higher priority on CB in this draft than you do.

I won't comment on the rest since late-round preferences will vary so widely and I don't know much about the guys you listed! But come on, get on the Okoye bandwagon!
