Favorite - Lacy
Least - Mathieu
I can't say I know too many of the players, so I am just going jot down a few names which spring to mind as a spontaneous reaction :

Favourite

  • Cordarrelle Patterson (just freak of nature playmaker talent)
  • Justin Hunter (my definitive deep threat wideout who can go up top to compete for the ball and make huge plays in the vertical game which the 9ers badly need)
  • Eric Reid (we lost Dashon, need I say more ? Reid is simply the most imposing safety in this draft)
  • David Amerson (King of INTs)
  • Zach Ertz (great playmaker with unbelievable hands. Delanie is gone and we need a bonafide TE, not just someone who can block, but somone who can contribute offensively. Ertz together with Vernon will present an intimidating TE Tandem)

Least Favourite

  • Tyrann Mathieu (too short, too small, too slow and too weak, yes that pretty much covers it. I don't even want to talk about his off-field issues.)

Rascal, I thought you'd have Hunter ahead of Patterson. What's the deal?

Mathieu being too short and too slow? dude still ran in the 4.5 range at the combine and 4.4 in his pro day. Joe Haden didn't run fast but he's still dominant in the league. Antoine Winfield is close to the same height but was pretty dominant, as well.

but i can see why folks wouldn't want him because of his off the field issues.

Other than his bench press, I feel like Mathieu's measureables were solid. He is shorter but he would be used to guard the smaller slot receivers. Also the dude is a playmaker and plays like he's 6'0 200 pounds and looks 4.4 on the field.

yup, he plays a lot faster than his timed speed

First of all, the list is not in any order. Heck, I thought you would have Hunter on your list too. What's up with that ? LOL. Seriously, Cordarrelle Patterson is only for conversation more than anything else. He will be long gone. The kid may be raw and can't run routes, but his upside is just too huge especially when you include him in the run game and return game. Just too much talent there. As for Hunter, to me he is more of a specialist for the deep ball. The picture I have of him in my head is going up top at the 5 yard line catching a 60-yard TD pass from Kaep while being double-teamed. That is why I like the dude !! LOL.

Yeah, I know just kidding. Patterson is a stud that's why he's going to go in the top 12. No way we go up all the way up there to nab him. I think Hunter and Rogers are get-able. Hope it plays out our way.

Alright, may be not that slow, but he is just too small and short for my liking. You said it about the bench press, 4 reps, really ?! He knew for months he would be lifting at the combine and you mean all he could muster was 4 feeble reps ?! I am not convinced he plays like a 6' and 200 pounder. I think he will have a hard time going against the bigger physical receivers and tight ends. I can't see him getting it done. Just my personal point of view.
Favorite: Cyprien
Least: old ass Hunt
Favorite: Tavon Austin, Da'Rick Rogers, Ryan Otten, Jonathan Cooper, Larry Warford, E.J. Manuel, Walter Bryant. Yeah, I got a lot of favorites...

Least favorites: Eric Reid (nothing stands out) , Sylvester Williams (hate guys with questionable motors), Margus Hunt (age/too raw), Jesse Williams (just don't think he'll be anything special), Robert Woods.

He won't be asked to cover Calvin Johnson. He'll be asked to cover percy harvin. His primary purpose will be to serve as a nickel corner to guard the quicker, shiftier, smaller receivers.

Nothing stands out on Eric Reid? His length, speed, and hard hitting ability should at least stand out. He isn't the greatest ballhawk, but all around he's pretty good and complete compared to other safeties in the draft.

Yeah, I was going to say. Looks pretty good to me.
