Is Boise St CB Jamar Taylor worth the 34th pick?

Is Boise St CB Jamar Taylor worth the 34th pick?

love this guy, and would be pumped to get him. But i don't think he will be around at the end of the 2nd.
Charley Casserly sais some good things about him BUT not enough, IMO, to deserve any of our top picks.

he is supposed to be a top 40 player
I wouldn't hate it at 34... I have him more in the 45-55 range, if forced to get more precise with the rankings.
Yes! But not at 34, and not at the end of the 2nd. With our track record of moving up to get who we want + most picks in the draft by any team since 97 + no room for 14 rookies = Baalke will get ANYONE he wants in this draft. After the 1st, we have 2+ picks IN EVERY DAMN ROUND!!!!! ( counting our Boldin 6th ) That's effin INCREDIBLE!!! You know what a team like the Jets would do to have those picks??? We are sitting sooooo pretty. No glaring needs, a franchise QB, a young stacked roster and those picks??? Lots of trading up this year to get everything on Baalkes wish list. If he wants him, he'll grab him.

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DRAFT!!!!!
I have a gut feeling he will shoot up to the first round.
How about this random factoid?

Jamar Taylor went to the same High School as Alex Smith (Helix High), who we acquired that 34th overall pick for. When's the last time two guys who went to the same High School got traded for each other?
He is only 5'10''
Theres already a thread on Taylor, I posted this in that thread.

I watched this kid alot. He doesnt have the upside IMO. He may be solid, but he will likely never be a star. Rounds one and two are way too high for him IMO.

Robert Alford is the CB we should be targeting
