IF (and that's a big "IF") I would go w/ Ertz, and I'm basing solely on how much Stanford football I've watched over that past two seasons... he's got great hands and the fact that he can jump right into our offense cause his familiarity makes it a easier decision for me.
Otherwise, i'd like to see us stick to a D-line pick w/ #31.

Eifert possesses the biggest potential. if he could turn out anything like Rudolph then this guy and Vernon will be better than gronk and hernandez

Eifert will be like Jimmy Graham mixed with Gronk.

The ND guy Eifert. I seen this guy snatch balls in the endzone and big 1st down drive saving catches. This ND guy is a MONSTER in the mold of a GRONK

This. Why draft a TE with a first rounder when we already have one of the best TEs in the game?? You don't draft that position that early to be a number 2.

Defense first two picks, DL, safety in that order. Can go TE with second 2nd rounder or even third.

I think the bigger need is safety, and I think that be great to get the dude from bama but other than that I'm not really big on any dt's so I'd have to go Saftey I think bunch more guys i like that could fill that void. I would also like a Tightend but I think that's more of the late second if we do go that route. Unless they have a big run on defensive players than i doubt we take a tightend with the first two picks.

I like Ertz, but my only concern is his short arms.

Playmaker, size, redzone threat.... I agree Vernon is a good TE, but his best asset (his speed) is nullified in shorter area (5-10yards out) of the redzone. That's where players like Eifert and Ertz come in they are better in coming down with the jump ball type of play that we sorely needed all season long. I think if we had either of two players in the superbowl we walk out with #6, jmo.

Eifert is much better than Ertz and so Eifert shoudnt be there at 31 but if he is i would be fine maybe even elated with the pick up! Ertz is a good TE as well but doesnt have the potential Eifert has. The only way i would want us to draft Ertz would be if he fell to the bottom of the second round.

Eifert won't make it to 31, that's why everyone has us taking Ertz.
