I wouldn't take him earlier than 4th rd...he's a risk, plain & simple. Didn't play in 2012 because LSU suspended him for drugs (& he was later arrested for it). In 2011 he was a Heisman candidate, but last season was a total wash. What remains TBD is if teams feel he's really a changed man...

Baalke is not adverse to picking smaller players if they can play. Our previous GM, Scott only wanted big guys at RB, Once Baalke took over, they got hunter and james. Since he played in the tough SEC, you know he is not a pansy, he just has/had some character issues or common sense issues that might desuade some. I expect if the niners take him it'll be with the 2nd 2nd rounder or the first 3rd rounder.
