EDIT: Post-combine/post-Alex Smith trade rumour Dream Mock Offseason L-E-Z-GO

SammyFrancisco's Post-Combine Offseason Mock:

Off-season approach --> I assume other teams will overpay for our FAs coming off a super bowl appearance (DW, RJF, Grant). The others aren't worth bringing back. The plan is to cut ties with overpaid/overrated veterans and go full-on youth movement, improving our depth and special teams coverage, and allowing us to target Randy Starks on the FA market. All the while maintaining good cap standing so we can extend CK, Crab, Iupati, etc. and keep this team together for a VERY long time.

Perrish Cox – vet minimum

It's too many picks. For a roster already pretty loaded, I think they're going to package some stuff and either move up this year, or pick up some stuff for next year.

I love the MacDonald pick
I'm not sure we make that many picks, but if we let that many people walk we're gonna need that many. I like the mock, and also think we should purge a lot of our dead weight of backups that don't play. I also think either whitner or Rogers is gone next year. Great time in the franchise to instill youth. And a kicker?? Yes please!!!! When most elite kickers blow it past the endzone, you can say Akers gave up that TD to jones

This. Probably both.

I would really like to see us use picks to trade up in this years draft. There are going to be some really high quality players in the #20-50 range. We now will have two picks in that area, I'd like to see us get 3.

Trade our 2 2nd rounders + our 6th (852 point value) for the 20th overall pick (850 value).

Trade our 2 3rd rounder + a 5th (378 value) for the 52nd overall pick (380 value).

That would have us picking 20, 31, and 52 with some later round selections for a kicker and some depth. That could net us 3 starters. 3 guys that could help us get back to the super-bowl. Maybe a DE, a FS, and a WR.

I agree. This isn't 2006 where we just needed to get bodies on the field. We're finally in that New England luxury stage where we can select quality starters and solid back ups and not just bodies for camp. We don't need 15 draft picks this year. That number alone would be more than 25% of our season roster. Package some picks and move up in some places.
Starks is probably going to get Franchised

that would be smart on the dolphins end
Looks like a super young team good mock.....BRING BACK BIG ICE!!!!! Make it happen Baalke!!!!
Not that it matters, but Perrish Cox is already under contract for next year at the vet minimum.

I'm not a fan of the cutting Whitner & Goodwin, but I like the draft picks overall.
No way Whitner is getting cut. I highly doubt Goodwin is getting cut. Fully expect Walker to be resigned.
Solid draft, but I love the Ramses Barden pickup alot
Cut Whitner???? Dafuq?

This
I would like to see them trade 34 to a QB needy team for a 1st next year. That turns Smith into a lot better value.
