Don't see us having any chance at Floyd unless we want to give up an arm and a leg to trade up, but Bruce Irvin is a possibility.

I want that ugly motherf**ker Bruce Irvin on our team.
His face alone would scare opposing teams offenses.

Irvin, really? Even with his checkered past?

His talent, production and freakish physical ability are all things that add up to a successful player in the NFL. The past is a serious concern without question. Quit in high school, but did go back and get the GED. Worked hard and did well in college, but then got that arrest right after the Pro Day.
I still doubt he falls past the third. As a prospect, I see him comparing to Justin Houston as a prospect, who last year was another freakishly athletic (although a bit bigger) 3-4 OLB prospect who had substance abuse issues, which surfaced in college and I believe he failed a drug test at the combine.
We seem to put higher value on the talent and if the character issues aren't deemed to be serious enough, they apparently are overlooked. Any team OK with the risk that has him in their top 150 or however many on their board will easily snatch him up wherever they feel his value matches up, which should be somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I think by bringing in Irvin for a visit, it appears we may be willing to spend a pick on the guy despite the issues.
His ability on the football field and CAPABILITY to work hard is the last thing anyone would have to worry about. The thing teams might question though is will he be able to stay out of trouble? Can't use your talents if you're sitting out games suspended and/or in jail. Then of course, to a slightly lesser extent, will those academic issue translate into a lack of commitment at any point?
Teams will need to do their homework.

Seems like there's talk of him sneaking into the first. Any thoughts on that?

I dont know a lot about him, but with his physical abilities I would be pretty damn happy if he was the BPA, he'd fill a need as a 4th OLB and he could be put in on 3rd downs with with Aldon instead of Brooks so when we got to our nickel our front 4 would be Aldon, Justin, Ray Mac, and Irvin. That would be pretty mean.
I think our locker room is becoming something of the Steelers or Ravens where the "troublemakers" will be kept in check by our leadership and the culture that Harbaugh is creating so I dont see us passing on players "character concerns" anymore as long as their skill warrants the selection.

Travaris Cadet RB/WR/RS had dinner with the 49ers last month. If you watch his tape - he plays fast with the pads on.

Really love the way this FO works in just these last two years especially. Looks like our team knows how to prepare and dig to find those mid to late round gems.

Have the Niners brought in Stephen Hill? Interesting that they are looking at Randle and not Hill.
