i thought he was blazing fast... anyway i could see an undersized cover corner who could reliably cover the welkers and aymendolas of the world doing well on our D. we could hide a little guy in our overwelmingly overpowering corps... might b like a kid in a candy store with all the weed clubs around here tho...

Actually I think he'd make a pretty good slot corner. He's too small to matchup on the outside, but in terms of covering the slot, he could make for a heck of a nickel cb with his quickness, speed and playmaking abilities. He could be a good choice to handle the slot receivers that give the 49ers fits, guys like Amendola and Cruz. In some ways he reminds me of former 49er, Jason Webster.

This. Denard fell pretty badly last year and he's been pretty decent, moreso than I expected. I think Mathieu has all the talent and athleticism to be a very good slot corner in the NFL.
