That would be an offense that would frighten a D-coordinator.

However, I can't see the Niners going after another high-priced guard... What I can see though, is the team bringing in a FA vet with a couple of years of productivity left (and hungry for a ring) to fill that RG spot until they can develop a younger guy.

If the Niners can sign both Rogers and Brooks, they then have the luxury of going after a TE and WR with their first 2 picks and waiting to get CB, DT, and OLB depth later in the draft. That would be my dream scenario.

I thought your draft was too oline heavy. I think we need to draft a CB, OLB, RB in our draft. I like the WRs and TE and Center but we do need so defensive support.

I like most of the picks in the mock, esp. Quick. I think under this senario he could potentially end up out playing Sanu. Unfortunately I have to agree with the 1st concern posted above. If the offseason fell like this, we would not adequately replace Brooks. I don't think Hawthorne will leave Seattle, and I'm not sure he fits the 3-4 system anyway. I also agree with the 3rd point on this list. Josh can be retained for a fairly cheap dollar amount. Our Wr depth is weak right now, so it couldn't hurt. Finally, in regards to the 4th point. I think his name refers to the SF Giants not the NY football Giants.

YES, please sign Rogers AND Brooks. I want Fleener and Adams with the first two and then Trumaine Johnson with the 3rd.
I read somebody's idea of trading our 1st pick for KC or Miami's 2nd, 4th and 5th. thoughts on that?
But by saying Crabs is #1, I was saying it according to our depth chart. lol. He'll play like a #1 with a cast like that around him though
And to be honest, I dont know much about Grubs and Nicks, I just heard they both are going to be potential free agents because the saints have to resign brees and either colston or Nicks and the Ravenes have a similar situation so those were the hot names.
idk if Adams returns kickoffs but hopefully he does, that will make ted ginn expendable, may not need to design him at all
but if not, there's plenty of guys in 5-7 tht are return specialist.

OK...thanks for the clarification on Crabs... Still think his skill set is that of a number 2...very similar to Morgan as a matter of fact. I just don't see him having the ability to separate like one would normally expect from a number 1 wideout.

I don't think the Niners are going to spend big money on ANY FA guys... They really don't have to. If Rogers and/or Brooks leave, yes, they will have to scramble to find some quality depth (whether it be in the draft or in free agency) but the front office did a great job of shoring up weak positions in the off-season last year so they appear to be quite able to do this. If Rogers leaves, Culliver starts and the team probably signs a second tier vet FA CB. If Brooks leaves, Aldon Smith starts and the team drafts at least one OLB and signs another in free agency.

As I said, I think the Niners will sign a vet FA right OG that can pass protect and wants a good chance at a ring and will give the team a discount.

Lastly, the thing about Ginn that is important to keep in mind is this......he doesn't turn the ball over in the return game. Yes, there are lots of guys out there in the draft that can return kicks and punts but...can they hold on to the ball in the pressure-packed playoff games?
